100 games for Jack “Money Mack” Mitchard

An MFC lifer, Jack Mitchard will play game number 100 in front of the Ladies Day crowd tomorrow in the A grade.

MFCs number 1 graphic designer has been an absolute weapon since stepping foot on the field in a hawks gurnsey.

After a decorated junior career which included a domination year in under 18s, the club was very eager to get him involved in the senior program where has flourished ever since.

A shaky start injury wise, Mack was able to play the back end of the year in 2022 in the invincible C grade team and a massive reason why we were able to get over the line Vs Scotch that day, a finals series to remember for the great man 😉

From there, a flourish of BOG performances had him being a key pillar of a B grade grand final season which showed what talent he had and what an excitement machine we knew would be a long time Modbury footballer in the senior program.

From that moment on, Mack has been on a wing doing his thing predominantly in the A grade running blokes down, using his speed and taking unbelievable hangers for fun (even a snag or two like last week).

Not only are we super proud of the on field efforts for Jack, but his devoted love for the club breathes deep on a weekly basis for his ability to be in the social media team and create our graphics which he does for the love it!

Know also for his long locks and questionable footy trip races suits Davies knows what I’m talking about!

The way he contributes to our club is to be commended as A true Modbury man, we cannot wait to celebrate game 100 with him tomorrow and make sure you fill his mug tomorrow night.

100 Games Andrew Massacci!

Tomorrow in the D grade Vs Rocs the great man Maz will run around and try and get the boys over the line to continue their great start to the season.

Andy Maz has been a Modbury man for many years and even when he wasn’t playing was always around supporting the D grade group truly showing his fantastic leadership.

Loved by all who have had the privilege of running out along side him, Andy always puts his team first and will do anything for his mates.

An on field leader who uses his voice, pressure and courage to help his team mates.

Maz has always had a great deal of talent and was able to put that to best work during the 2024 season where he was able to taste the ultimate success in that great finals run.

Go well Maz and we look forward to sharing an ale with you after the game tomorrow with a win 🦅

Tomorrow in the A Grade The Woodstick will be playing game 100 against Flinders Park!

Woody is an MFC lifer who has spent his entire childhood and playing career at the nest and we couldn’t be more prouder for him to bring up game 100 tomorrow.

Woody is a key offield member of that fantastic u16.5 premiership side which has continued on into his senior career.

After a fantastic junior career which involved premierships and some SANFL footy, Woody quickly burst into the scene in the B grade as younger member and it was clear in the early days that he was going to be a Modbury man for many years to come.

Know for his running ability and aerial work, Connor has built a great reputation and become a key pillar of our playing list.

Still a young man, Woody has predominantly played his football in the A grade in a variety of positions where he has become a mainstay swingman.

Woody is know to do his best work off field and on footy trips many of which will not be discussed in a public forum!

A great bloke who is loved and hated by all his great mates at the club, we wish him all the best tomorrow as he looks to get us over the line and get one over the Flinders mob who have had our number of late.

50 Games for Mia Ebert!

You wouldn’t know it now, but Mia only began her footy journey in 2021 with the U15s girls team. She stepped straight into Senior football at 17 and demonstrated natural talent and rapid development. A dynamic midfielder/forward, Mia brings energy, skill, and a fearless competitive edge every time she hits the field. Mia has impressively won a runner up B&F and B&F in her first two years of Senior Footy!

While playing senior football with the Hawkettes, she also joined North Adelaide Football Club, where she continued to refine and showcase her growing skill set.

Mia has been a constant highly respected pillar in the women’s leadership group. Her calm presence, thoughtful advice and unwavering support for her teammates never goes unnoticed, lifting those around her.

Mia began her junior football coaching journey last year and she has made an extraordinary impact with the U14 girls and now guiding the U16s. She achieved a grand final win in her very first season. Her knowledge of the game, drive to help young players grow, and her genuinely caring nature make her an outstanding mentor. She’s not just a great coach — she’s an influential role model for younger generations moving into our senior women’s program.

Mia and the Ebert family have been an integral part of our football club for many years, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they’ve contributed. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with them.
