Keep the Adelaide Aquatic Centre Open

Back out again with the Leader of the SA Liberal Party, the Honourable David Speirs MP, the Honourable Jing Lee, MLC (South Australia) and Julian Amato listening to aggrieved users of the Adelaide Aquatic Centre about the imminent closure of the facility by the SA Labor Government.

We are doing our best to hold this government to account and will continue our fight to help save the Aquatic Centre!

The Malinauskas Labor government wants to expand the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre build into the parklands, but has blocked the Adelaide Park Lands Association from the conversation.

Before the election Peter Malinauskas promised to “protect Adelaide’s unique Park Lands” but since then he’s done the exact opposite. We’ve seen this with the government’s failed attempt to move the police barracks into the parklands.

When it comes to major decisions like these, South Australians deserve to see more transparency from their government!

We’ve collected approximately 1000 signatures and we will keep fighting to hold this Labor Government to account to keep their broken promises!

Hon Michelle Lensink MLC was out at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre today taking signatures from distressed families who will be displaced by the broken promises of the SA Labor Government.

Today John Gardner MP and Julian Amato were out in the wet weather taking signatures for our petition to keep the Aquatic Centre open. Thank you to the hundreds of people that have signed our petition so far to help hold this SA Labor Government to account for their broken promises.

Today the Honourable Heidi Girolamo MLC came out to chat with concerned Aquatic Centre users about the imminent closure of the facility.

Users of the Aquatic Centre feel ignored by Peter Malinauskas and his SA Labor Government. We willl continue to fight for their voice to be heard to keep the Aquatic Centre open!

There is a simple solution to the problem that the State Government has created for itself.

The Government must keep the Aquatic Centre open as promised by Lucy Hood in September 2022, when she said the Aquatic Centre would:

“…continue to operate while we build the new centre - meaning the hundreds of thousands of visitors, locals and families who rely on this service each year won’t miss out on the upgrade”.

Out again on a Sunday with Jing Lee, MLC (South Australia). Please like and share our page to help prevent Lucy Hood and this SA Labor Government from closing the Adelaide Aquatic Centre.

Today Jing Lee, MLC (South Australia) and Julian Amato were back out speaking with aggrieved Aquatic Centre users about the closure of the centre scheduled for next year.

There were many worried parents who do not know where their kids will have swimming lessons over the next 3-4 years while the current Aquatic Centre is closed. These people feel ignored by this Labor Government, who are not adequately addressing their concerns.

We urgently call on Lucy Hood, Peter Malinauskas and this SA Labor Government to keep its promise and keep the current centre open while the new centre is being built.

Today we were back out speaking with aggrieved users of the Adelaide Aquatic Centre. We aim to hold Lucy Hood and Peter Malinauskas to account and we will urge them to keep their election promise to keep the Aquatic Centre open.
