Should you be doing HIIT or strength training to get the best results from your calorie deficit?
As requested, what I have been eating the last 2 weeks to drop 2kgāļø
To be honest, this is my diet not in a fat loss phase as well!
I usually stick to the same or very similar meals, just adjust portion sizes as needed.
Sticking to the basics work and itās one less thing for me to think about day to day.
We all know that you eating the exact same as me wonāt produce the same result, however.. this is to show you that you donāt have to only eat dust and salad to get resultsš«¶š½
My goals 6 months ago were to fly business class and get a dream apartment in Australia, I did both.
Then in January, I set my goals for the year.. growing my business to 50+ clients and hiring a second coach.
A few weeks later, I went for a hike with a friend and I had a penny drop moment.
I realised the things Iād been chasing, the goals I had set, werenāt actually MY version of success.
I donāt want this big dream apartment. I donāt care about a business class flight. Nor do I want to build my business to 50+ clients and hire another coach.
I realised Iād been chasing a version of success that society deems as success and not actually my version of success.
I value freedom and simplicity.
I am genuinely happy with all my stuff fitting into a suitcase, coaching women who value long term growth and seeing the world as I go. I donāt want to feel tied to one place or trapped in societyās idea of what sucees should look like.
So I spent some time refining what success actually means to me.
Itās a calm nervous system, a healthy body, a quiet mind, less but deep relationships, having the space to coach driven women in a way that feels personal and the freedom to move through the world freely as I desire ā¤ļø
I donāt want to build a life that looks successful from the outside if it pulls me away from the way I actually want to live my life.

Itās mad how you can make one decision to pull yourself out of being in a place youāre not happy in and then within 3 weeks, your body is like YEP THANK YOU, THAT WAS THE RIGHT DESCISION.
My period coming back, of course. I have never felt so happy about this.
But also, just being able to think straight again, feeling more calm and present and like a human rather than a zombie.
As women, losing your period is not normal and itās not healthy, whatever the situation. Iād never experienced something like this before, but now coming out of the other side of these past 4 months, itās definitely been eye opening.
If your body is trying to tell you something, donāt ignore it.. listen. Make a change š¤
Iām starting to come out of the other side of this now and can see the light at the end of the tunnel š¤āØ

Key word occasionalā¦.
1- get friends that SUPPORT your goals. Instead of asking me out for dinner, my friend asked āhow much longer are you cutting forā ..
2- portion control is everything, you donāt have to āget your moneys worthā and finish your meal if it leaves you feeling like youāve overate, the money is gone either way. Also please remember, your portion may look different to someone elseās portion and thatās ok! In my case, I ate more than my friend but after years of learning, I know my body and itās needs and I require a lot of food still ⦠yessss, even if I am cutting!
3- prioritise protein always, during the meal and throughout the day too. If you can, stick to simple ingredients foods over processed foods (not always an option)
4- be ok to make some sacrifices, even if you donāt want to.. I would have LOVED to have smashed some ice cream after this, but for what? 5 minutes of happiness and another 500 calories added on to the day for the sake of it. Itās a short term sacricce I am happy to make if it means making progress toward my goal that week.
5- ensure you still eat during the day but adapt your meals to save your more calories for dinner, and/or push your meal timings back so youāre not going into the meal out starving hungry.
I personally donāt bother tracking the occasional meal out because youāll never know exact the number of calories you consumed, so I just eat it and move on from it.

It sounds simple because it actually is when you have the structure. You show up and get what needs to be done, done without room for excuses.
