Evan has been with since day one and has fought through injury and every challenge life has thrown at him in order to maintain his long term consistency in the Sport of Grappling, growing in to a true Mat Leader along the way.

Hear what Evan had to say about his experience with the team;

"I have been training under Nick for 8 years and having been a member of The Mat Lab since the beginning.
My time in grappling has come with much adversity through injury and personal commitments, none of which has stopped me from getting on the mats. This is due to the culture and style of coaching provided by Nick and Jackie.

Nick’s ability to simplify and breakdown techniques is up there with the best in the country as widely recognised by many within the community. On top of that he is an extremely high level and well rounded grappler that really demonstrates his exceptional knowledge and ability in the sport.

is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of and can be found every single night on the mats sharpening her own skills and aiding every single person around her to do the same.

Focus, Discipline, Resilience, Dedication and Commitment.

Jackie has a competitive resume that speaks for itself, but what really does the talking is what happens when someone in our Academy is in need, 10 times out of 10, Jackie is there to help.

We are all incredibly grateful to have her as a leader and each member stands in support when she reaches for her dreams and strives to constantly reach the next level.
