Wednesday at The Lab offers a highly beneficial Beginners Class designed for Zero Day to 6 months learners and chronicles the core basic objectives of Grappling, providing a solid foundation of learning that filters out in to all other class types.

A GREAT opportunity to take your first steps on to the mat or bring a friend to show them what Grappling is all about!!!!

We also have a dedicated session that centres on Guard Work of all levels, where we refine and improve our knowledge of Modern No Gi Guard Meta, and always take the time to look at decision making and context; why do we play these guards and what is truly effective?

There is ALOT to be Pumped about!!!

Silver today in the White Belt Open Weight at the Synergy Pro.

We celebrate this man's achievements on the may, however we are equally as proud of his character off of it aswell.

Prior to becoming a MatLab Student, Assem was already showing up to every competition to support his friends amd future team mates.

Since taking his first steps on to the mat as a new practitioner, nothing has changed.
Hungry to learn, happy to share, and attends every single Comp Prep Session regardless of whether he his competing himself, dedicating himself to the process amd contributing to those around him selflessly.

We are delighted to have the chance to highlight Assem today, as he really does exemplify the spirit of our Team.

ALL LEVELS

Whenever you see a class on our schedule described as "ALL Levels", we mean it!!!

Yes, some concepts will be more challenging than others, however bridging that gap of knowledge is what these classes are all about.

You will have experienced students guiding beginners through the necessary learning steps as well as Advanced Practioners trialling the newest ideas with eachother, upgrading and refining in the process.

Promoting development at every level is a huge focus of our Academy amd we encourage all to attend and gain the benefit of that commitment.

The Little Lab Techs are Levelling Up!!!!

The Juniors Classes at the MatLab are steadily growing and there is simply nothing more rewarding than seeing the confidence and ability grow amongst these youngsters as they tackle new challenges and sponge up knowledge with a smile.

He has competed across Australia in Tournaments and Superfights and has always come back m to the training room with a singular focus; Improvement, regardless of result.

The Lab has dedicated classes that run themes that change monthly. This structure, with intentional focus on different areas within grappling, has given me the chance to be specific with my training & the ability to become the best grappler I can be.
