Bit of running… lots of mud at the Australian Athletics national cross country championships!

Fitzys 5km is one of the standout events on the calendar for our athletes and always provides a fantastic opportunity to shave down athletes 5k PBs, with this year being no exception.

Pia, Casey and Ian were strong from the front, with Pia claiming a maiden 5k state podium in 3rd, along with Casey and Ian who went fishing, catching some big fish to end up 3rd and 4th respectively in the state.

There were standout performances across the board such as Tom, Rylan and Harry all breaking the prestigious 15 minute barrier for the first time and AK breaking 16 minutes.

I’m sure all of the AUAC athletes had fun around our own stomping groups and look forward to seeing everyone at City to Bay next month.

Rain, wind and soaked shoes couldn’t stop our Adelaide Uni athletes at last weekend’s Ekiden Relays! 🌧️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Huge effort from everyone who braved the conditions and put together some outstanding team performances.
