CG's Surprise Football

On the 14th February you are all welcome to come to ours to watch the WA v Vic State Game. I will get back you all on the start time. Please bring a plate of finger food, snack or drink to share. More to come, let me know if your interested.

Well in 28th August 2026, will be our official 5th birthday. So I would like to ask for help in this situation.

1. As mentioned previously, I would like to organise some time to celebrate 5 years in Melbourne on and around the weekend of the 11-12 July. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in this and put your interest below this post and/or activities that you would like to see happen for this celebration. Please express interest by the 15th March 2026, to help plan the required amount of days and nights we need in Melbourne, the program/itinerary and the logistics for the event. This event is open to anyone in Adelaide and anywhere else. There will be of course an opening and closing ceremony, TBA
Note: all accommodation and travel is at your own cost.

2. I would like to do an Adelaide event for 5 years of Surprise Football around late August 2026. Please post any activities and/or events that would be suitable for this below.

Expressions of interest
CG.s Surprise Football: Adelaide City, Suburbs, Hills and Fleurieu focused Grand Final day. (Sales pitch nominated)
We are organising a day out for a Grand Final day around these areas, but instead of doing voting, we are doing sales pitches to go to the game. Sales pitches will need to include: entertainment, pre game, venue of the ground, teams competing and what ever you feel.
You can present these in the following: video/voice recordings under 2 minutes or in writing in 100 words or less. I won't be taking anything until I open the Sale Pitching line. I will present a pitch as well, so it will be a decision between mine or a pitch that will knock my socks off.

Dates:
- sales pitching opens when all grand final venues are released TBA (13th or 14th September)
- All games played on 20th September 2025
- meeting times and venues TBA
Division 1: Norwood Oval - 2.30pm
Division 2 - 7: TBA
Hills Football League: Heathfield Oval - 2.30pm
Great Southern Football League: Victor Harbor - 2.30pm
Southern Football League: Magain Stadium - 2.45pm

10.30am - 12pm: Meet for Morning tea/coffee at the Orange Basket Cafe, 77 Collins Parade, Hackham, for those who are interested
12.05pm: Meet at clubrooms for the games
12.15pm: Watch the B Grade match
2.15pm: Watch the A Grade match
Approx 4.30pm: game finishes, stay behind for clubroom entertainment or go home.

Round 1: live video around 6pm and a live voting system for everyone. Still tied after this then Round 2 will be in play.
Round 2: if two games are on same votes, a coin toss will occur. If three or more games on same votes, there will be a live video draw out of a hat after the counting of Round 1 votes.
