FLEXIBLE DIETING; is a popular weight loss program that’s based on a sensible theory.
Also called If It Fits Your Macros (IIFYM), it promotes the notion that there are no β€œbad foods” and allows you to choose any food, as long as it fits within your macronutrient needs.

There is a common misconception that flexible dieters just eat crap food when really this is not the case at all. Flexible dieting does not mean filling up your daily macros with as much crap food as possible, it's more about creating balance within your diet and lifestyle and allowing you to eat a small portion of chocolate guilt-free along side your lunch of chicken and vegetables for example. Today I've taken a photo of what I would eat as a snack in my daily diet. A tin of tuna, peanut butter on rice cakes and a caramello koala 🀀

There are many ways to approach this diet and it's not a one size fits all, meaning it is not going to work for everyone.

So how does it work?
You will want to calculate your daily total expenditure and then come up with a calorie/macro split from there based on your goals creating either a defecit or surplus.

It can be difficult to work out in the beginning but once you track your diet and progress for a couple weeks you will learn the true glory of why so many people LOVE flexible dieting.

πŸ’₯ MY 8 WEEK TRANSFORMATION! πŸ’₯
As a bodybuilder/fitness competitor your body weight and body fat percentage is like a rollercoaster! It's always fluctuating up and down and your body is always looking different through each of your shredding and building phases. After I got super lean for my comp, down to 50kg possibly even 49kg (I never checked the 2 days before my comp).. I blew all the way back up to 64kg.. let's say I over indulged quite alot πŸ™ˆπŸ˜ now I'm sitting at 54kg so a 10kg loss since my heaviest point after comp. This before photo is not from my heaviest point but it is 8 weeks difference between my physique. I worked Damn hard in those 8 weeks to shred as much body fat as possible! I had a date and goal set for my photoshoot and knew that time was coming up fast, so in order to drop weight so quickly I did have to drop my calories quite low 😭 something I wouldn't recommend.. BUT it did get me the quick results that I wanted! Calories are not a one size fits all type of thing so you need to do what works for you based on how your metabolism is running. (This is something I want to try and improve for myself next building phase) You have to be willing to sacrifice things when it comes to getting great results.. the family dinner nights, the snacks in the cinemas, the date nights at your fave restaurant, the catch up coffee and cake dates with friends, the left overs your child refuses to eat, the temptation of amazing new menu items you wanna try and even miss out on and fast food fixes when your in a rush. All of these things however do not provide anywhere near the long term happiness felt when achieving your body goals and how great you feel about yourself when you see how far you've come! All the hard work, determination and effort is worth it when you look back and realise your growth πŸ™Œ

Are you a mother? I am! πŸ– becoming a mother is without a doubt one of the greatest achievements of my life! Our bodies go through alot during pregnancy emotionally and physically. Our hormones go crazy and our emotions run wild as we watch our bellies grow week by week. And most of us towards the near end of our pregnancy develop stretch marks. At first mine really bothered me but now I forget there even there. But I learnt to love my stretch marks, as you can only learn to accept and embrace something that you cannot change. I often get asked how I felt competing with stretch marks or how I wear crop tops and feel comfortable. The answer is self love! 🌸🌺 Love your body for the changes it went through to grow a tiny human, for providing your baby a home for almost 10 months. Appreciate everything it has been through and see those stretch marks as a beautiful reminder of where your beautiful baby started their life. You never get those moments back, only the warming memories that your "scars" will remind you of ❀

WE ALL START SOMEWHERE πŸ‘

I get it! I've been there before once too!The gym can be a daunting place! You feel lost in a sea full of equipment that you barely know how to use.. not to mention you have nooooo idea where to start when it comes to dieting, there's so many people saying to do keto, to cut out carbs, to still have carbs, to try fasting, don't do fasting, don't eat after 8pm, try eating more meals.. Your so overwhelmed with all this information you don't even know what's the right thing to do?! And on top of that.. finding the motivation to get started is so hard! I feel ya there! Rewind about 5 years ago. That was me also! I joined a gym and had nonidea what to expect! Fast forward to today and I've achieved so many goals, completely changed my body AND my mindset, I have a healthy relationship with my food and gym routine, I'm about to become a personal trainer and begin helping people achieve what I have. It feels good! Achieving your goals and smashing all that self doubt you have in the beginning of your journey is so satisfying!
