Last Friday evening, we had another great opportunity to present our Paws and Pals Education Program to a wonderful group of participants. The time passed quickly, and before we knew it, everyone was outside in the grassed area, already practicing with Molly.

The participants did an excellent job and asked some really thoughtful questions throughout the session. Thank you to everyone who attended. We appreciate your enthusiasm and engagement, and we look forward to seeing the next group at our upcoming session.

Working K9 Club Inc. – Working Weekend 🐾
IGP Trial – 17 October 2026 | Workshop – 18 October 2026

What a fantastic weekend of dogs, training, learning and great company!

A huge thank you to Judge Michael Kamphuis, who travelled from Adelaide to join us for the weekend. Michael judged our trial on Saturday, providing excellent, thoughtful critiques and valuable feedback from which we all gained something. On Sunday, Michael ran a fantastic workshop, sharing his knowledge, experience and insights on working dogs with everyone who attended. We really appreciate the time and effort Michael put into making the weekend such a valuable and enjoyable experience.

Congratulations to all our competitors, who achieved qualifications in BH, IGBH1, IGBH3, OB1 and CW1! It was wonderful to see everyone out on the field showcasing the hard work and dedication that goes into training our dogs.

A massive thank you to our wonderful club crew, who helped with everything from setting up and packing away to bringing snacks and keeping things running smoothly throughout the weekend. It really does take a village to make weekends like this happen, and we're lucky to have such a great community of people who pitch in and support one another!

A wonderful weekend spent with great people and great dogs. Thank you to everyone who competed, participated, helped out and supported the club.

Proudly Supporting the WDFA IGP National Championship 2027!

We at Von Nakon Working German Shepherds are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the WDFA IGP National Championship, hosted by the Adelaide SportDog Club!

As a small, family-run kennel dedicated to genetically robust working lines, we know what it takes to support the dogs and handlers competing at this elite level. We believe in solid ethics, sound movement, and the deep desire to work—values that align perfectly with the spirit of this championship.

About Us:

Premium Genetics: We source proven lines locally and internationally, importing and storing semen from quality studs to ensure sound diversity in our program.

Health First: Every animal in our breeding program undergoes health testing—including progeny—to ensure we are on the right path for our breeding goals.

Proven Results: We plan matings from females and males with proven working results in sport and real-world operational environments.

Lifetime Support: Our commitment to our clients doesn’t stop at placement—we provide support throughout the life of the dog.

What’s New?

We imported a promising stud male in April 2023, and we have just received our eagerly awaited breeding female from Europe. These additions continue our mission to breed quality, healthy Working German Shepherds that meet the breed standard—with dark eyes, rich pigment, firm ears, and an attentive, driven expression.

We focus on one carefully researched litter per year, striving for optimal results through knowledge, training, and dedication to our selected lines.

Join Us!

We can’t wait to see the incredible teams compete at the WDFA IGP National Championship on 27th – 29th August 2027. Whether you’re a fellow breeder, handler, or enthusiast, let’s come together to celebrate the working German Shepherd dog. We focus on one carefully researched litter per year, striving for optimal results through knowledge, training, and dedication to our selected lines.

We would like to thank the Semaphore Scout Group Scouts SA for inviting the Adelaide Sportdog Club to deliver our Paws and Pals presentation last evening.

We had a wonderful time spending the evening with the Scouts, leaders, parents, and supporters. Sparkles and Molly were clearly the stars of the session and quickly became the favourites among the participants.

We received some fantastic feedback from everyone involved, along with valuable suggestions that we will take on board as we continue to develop and improve future presentations.

We are already looking forward to our next visit and the opportunity to share more experiences with the group.

A special thank you also to City of Port Adelaide Enfield for its ongoing support, which helps the Adelaide Sportdog Club deliver and grow this important community project.
