VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY 2026
As part of National Volunteers Week, it was our great pleasure to invite all of our volunteers to the clubrooms on Sunday for some food, wine and great conversations.
Jake Winter (One Day & T20 Capt.) had a tasting of his "Winter Wines" and sold a few bottles also!
Those attending sampled a wonderful tasting table and caught up with fellow volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has helped out in any way, big or small, we truly appreciate your valuable time.

PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS
Several of our talented, up and coming junior players recently received their Awards at the Premier Cricket Awards Night.
🟡Grace Flanagan - U18 Girls Youth Premier League Bowling Aggregate winner and named in the Team of the Year alongside Ivy Hobbs.
⚫Logan Banyer - U18 Shield Team of the Year
🟡Sara Rajguru - Dot Laughton Trophy winner awarded to outstanding South Australian women cricketers
⚫Ratna Rahul Reddy Evuri - U17 Bowling Aggregate and U18 Shield Team of the Year.
🟡Ethan Williams was not available on the night but was also named in the U18 Shield Team of the Year.

🟡Congratulations to Nathan McSweeney, Alex Carey, Liam Scott and Brendan Doggett on being named in the SA Men's Sheffield Shield squad for the upcoming summer.

PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS
🟡⚫Congratulations to Alex Carey and Liam Scott on their selection for the Australian One Day Squads to tour Pakistan and Bangladesh later this month.
Alex has already successfully represented Australia in this format, but Liam is looking to make his debut for the 'green and gold'!
We all wish you both have a great tournament with many runs, catches and wickets!!

PLAYER HIGHLIGHT
⬛🟨Ellie Phillips is now back in England with her family and sadly missed being at our Presentation Night recently......so we sent her trophies to her!!
🟨⬛Ellie was part of our inaugural 1st Grade Women's Premiership side, was named in the SACA Women's Team of the Year and won the Snewin Family Trophy for Women's 1st Grade most wickets taken (26), along with the Club Aggregate Award for the most wickets taken in Women's cricket in any grade.
Have a great season back in England and we hope to see you again next season!!

GDCC PRESENTATION NIGHT
⚫🟡Congratulations to our Major Award Winners!
The Sam Starling medal was presented by Bob Snewin, the Graham Sedunary medal was presented by Louise Miller-Frost, the Dick Niehuus Trophy was presented by Sally & Tobin Niehuus, the Presidents Trophy was presented by President Jarret Moyse and the Mayors Trophy was presented by Deputy Mayor of City of Holdfast Bay, John Smedley.

💍🤵👰🏼‍♀️Congratulations to Danny and Ashley on your wedding over the weekend! Everyone at GDCC wishes you only the very best for your future together and for many happy years celebrating milestones with Harper, Jimmy and Ivy (they grow so quickly!)
