What are everyones thoughts on Porsche's new 2023 670bhp 963?

Built to LMDh specifications, the Porsche Penske 963 is based on the LMP2 category, with its chassis developed on a new design by Canadian engineering company Multimatic.

A 4.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol-electric hybrid engine borrowed from the 918 Spyder is fitted to the 963, producing 500kW of power – the maximum limit under LMDh regulations.

Officially, the Porsche Penske 963 will make its racing debut in January 2023 at the 24 Hours of Daytona in the United States; however, Porsche Penske is planning to hit the track for a non-competitive run at the final race of the 2022 season in Bahrain in November.

Ferrari 512 S is the designation for 25 sports cars built in 1969 & 1970, with five litre 12-cylinder "512" engines, related to the Ferrari P sports prototypes.

The tubular spaceframe was developed from the P4 and the 612, while the bodywork was designed by Giacomo Caliri and made from polycarbonate for light weight.

The 512 S model ran through the 1970 season both as works and private entries, its best result being a victory on its second outing in the 12 Hours of Sebring, this being a works entry driven by Andretti/Giunti/Vacarella, with Andretti joining the driving squad after his own car retired with transmission failure when leading. A 512 S also won the non championship Fuji 200 Mile Race in Japan, and a 512 M version won the Kyalami 9 Hour Race in South Africa. Although there was little to choose in performance between the 512 S and the Porsche 917, the latter had the greater reliability, which enabled it to take the Manufacturers’ Championship.
