BIG FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CLUB!
As we start planning for the new season, we have an exciting fundraising opportunity that has come our way!
The club has secured a coveted Bunnings Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings Marion on Saturday, 11 July. For anyone who knows how these work, you'll know this is a huge win - weekend spots at Marion often have a waiting list of 12 months or more!
The committee will take care of all the organisation, supplies and setup, but we need our amazing club members to help make the day a success.
We're looking for 3 volunteers per shift, plus one dedicated BBQ Captain to oversee the day. Shifts are just 2 hours long, so even giving up a small part of your Saturday can make a massive difference.
No master chef skills required! One person cooks at a time, and there are plenty of other jobs to keep things running smoothly. Many hands make light work, and if the weather is kind, we expect it to be a busy and rewarding day.
Most importantly, if this event goes well, it has the potential to put thousands of dollars directly back into the club and give our season a fantastic financial boost right from the start.

Following another successful Annual General Meeting, Morphettville Park Cricket Club is excited to announce the Committee that will lead our club into the 2026/27 season.
At the helm once again is Caleb Rybalka, who has been re-elected as President for a second consecutive year. He will be joined by returning Vice President Mark Voyzey and newly elected Vice President Graham Lamacraft, while Dean Ratcliff and Wes Trebilcock continue in their respective roles as Treasurer and Secretary.
We also welcome several newly appointed committee members, with Scott Paterson taking on the role of Head of Cricket, Jacob Fishwick appointed to Venue Operations, and Sheila Paterson stepping into the position of Volunteer Coordinator.
Congratulations to our Executive Committee on their appointments for the 2026/27 season. Thank you for your continued dedication, support and service to our club. The time and effort you invest behind the scenes is invaluable, and we look forward to another successful year under your leadership.
With the proposed changes successfully approved at the AGM, we will be trialling a new committee structure for the next 12 months, featuring more diverse and clearly defined roles and responsibilities across the club.
Supporting the executive committee in these key operational roles are:
๐ Social Media โ Morgen Roach
๐ Club Records โ Kev Brokensha
๐ Association Delegate โ Caleb Rybalka
๐ Merchandise & Equipment โ Ben Webb
๐ Sponsorship โ Luke Debrowski & Graham Lamacraft
๐ Grants Writer โ Ben Webb
๐ Social Calendar โ Peter Roach
As always, the club's success is driven by its members, and there are still several positions to be filled. If you would like to get involved, please reach out to any committee member. All help is welcome. Any positions currently unfilled will be confirmed by the incoming committee once candidates have been contacted.
Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to those who continue to contribute their time, passion, and commitment to making our club stronger every year.

AGM Reminder - This Sunday May 31st at 2PM at the Club
All players and members are welcome. Come have your say about the future direction of the club.
We are now the largest club in Southern Adelaide, with both Senior and Junior numbers growing rapidly over recent seasons. With that growth comes a significant increase in the day-to-day workload required to keep the club running smoothly - much of which falls on a small group of volunteers.
Firstly, I want to sincerely thank this seasonโs committee for the dedication and sheer volume of work put in to successfully operate the club. That said, it has become clear that we need to evolve how we operate moving forward.
-------------------------
Through workshops focused on improving and streamlining club operations, the executive has identified a key issue:
๐ We have plenty of people willing to help throughout the season
๐ But many canโt commit to the time required for full committee roles
So instead of relying on a small group to manage everything, weโre proposing a structure that spreads the workload from the few to the many.
-------------------------
These roles will form the official committee, oversee club operations, and attend monthly meetings:
โข President
โข Vice President
โข Secretary
โข Treasurer
โข Volunteer Coordinator
โข Venue Operations
โข Head of Cricket
โข Junior Coordinator
These roles are essential to the clubโs success but do not require meeting attendance - you simply manage your designated responsibilities:
โข Social Media Manager
โข Club Records
โข Association Delegate
โข Merchandise & Equipment Manager
โข Sponsor Coordinator
โข Grants Writer
โข Bar Manager
โข Kitchen Manager
โข Grounds Manager
โข Social Coordinator
โข Functions Coordinator
โข Senior Coach
โข Captains
โข Assistant Junior Coordinator
โข Junior Coaches
โข Junior Girls Coordinator
Individuals can hold multiple roles
โข Every role will have a clear, itemised job description
โข All roles count as 1 year of committee service toward Life Membership
โข All roles (except Captains & Coaches) will have voting rights for Club Person of the Year and Life Membership nominations
โข Multiple roles = one vote total per person
-------------------------
Because this structure differs from our current Constitution, we will not be making permanent changes yet.
Instead, we will propose this as a 1-season trial for 2026/27.
If successful, we can then look at formal constitutional changes in the future.
-------------------------
The current committee has already been proactive โ- with some members putting their hands up for roles and even starting early - but all positions remain open for nomination.
โข Executive roles will be elected at the AGM
โข Remaining roles will be appointed by the executive committee afterward
If youโre interested in getting involved or want more information, please review the attached role descriptions or reach out to Caleb directly.
This is a significant shift in how the club operates, but one we strongly believe will position MPCC for continued growth and long-term success.
More than ever, we encourage all members to attend the AGM on May 31 โ have your say, help shape the committee, and be part of the clubโs future. Please see the attached flow chart for how the job structures would work, as well as the attached document with full job descriptions at the below link;
https://uploadnow.io/files/QcwmJ7k
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Regards,
Caleb Rybalka
MPCC President

๐๐ฆ MPCC 2025/26 Senior Presentation Night ๐ฆ๐
It wasnโt quite the finals finish we were chasing, with our B, D, and F grade sides bowing out in their semi-finals this past weekend - but what a season itโs been. The effort, grit, and consistency across all grades have been nothing short of outstanding:
B Grade finished as the 4th highest B Grade side in the association
D Grade finished as the 2nd highest D Grade side in the association
F Grade took on a huge challenge, reaching the semis against what was essentially an A-grade Warradale side
Plenty to be proud of - and now itโs time to celebrate it properly.
Before that, donโt forget our Junior Presentation Night this Thursday. All senior players are encouraged to come along, show your support, and celebrate the next generation - many of whom stepped up and played senior cricket this season.
