Hi everyone, just a reminder that we have social tennis tonight. All players are welcome, whether you are a regular or coming along for the first time.

It is a great chance to have a hit, meet other members, and enjoy a fun night on court.

It has been decided that we will postpone Thursdays social competition and BBQ due to the weather, and schedule it to start weekly from next Thursday the 15th.
As mentioned before it's $15 to be a part of the social competition with BBQ, or just $10 without food. David and Angela Lizcano are running this year's social competition and if the one prior to Christmas was anything to go by, it's going to be lots of fun, a greater variety of competition, laughs and good people... there maybe the odd prize on the nights as well.

If you keen to play each week, and next and want to enjoy the BBQ, just reach out to us know of your attendance so we can cater for food.
It is going to be a BIG year for Pooraka tennis club and a new look social tennis is just the beginning!

Hi everyone,

To celebrate the end of the tennis year, we’ll be hosting a Social Tennis session this Thursday from 7pm at Pooraka Tennis Club, and all players are welcome.

This event is also a great opportunity to meet our new coach to the club, David Lizcano. David recently bringing his Tennis Academy to the club

Get a feel for their training environment, and enjoy a relaxed hit before the year wraps up. There are some exciting plans ahead for next year including social and much more, so this is a great way to finish the season and see what’s coming.

The session will start with:
• Doubles & singles drills
• Fun rally-based warm-ups

Then, depending on the number of players on the day, we’ll run a mini tournament, either:
• Main draw format, or
• Round robin format
Matches will be played using Fast 4 sets, keeping it dynamic and enjoyable for everyone.

Cost: $10 per person
A fun and social way to close out the tennis year.

Dear Members, Players and Parents,

The Pooraka Tennis Club will holding an AGM on Sunday the 14th of December at 10.30am. With the disruption of the redevelopment of our courts, and players playing in different locations etc, has meant we haven’t had the chance to celebrate our players and their achievements in the past year. We will be looking to present some trophies and medals.

We will be providing free drinks, BBQ and ice blocks. We are also looking for new committee members, and hope you will consider joining to help shape the next chapter in the Pooraka Tennis Club.
