At Glenunga, the Benn Caputo Memorial Trophy is awarded to the best under 21 year old player.

It honours the memory of Benn Caputo, a Glenunga player whose life was tragically cut too short.

Daniel Thompson, a talented and speedy defender, won the 2026 trophy at last night’s best and fairest.

Daniel is pictured with past winners including Harry Prosser, Jack Matchett, Lincoln Bennett, Fletcher Wisman, Dylan Smith and Charlie Pridham, in addition to Rams Life Member and Benn Caputo’s Dad, Leni.

As well as being a gun player, Daniel is also a Rams junior whose sister plays in the women’s team.

Congratulations mate!!
