During a recent stay at West Beach Parks Holiday Park, little Evie celebrated her third birthday — the latest chapter in a family tradition that stretches back generations.

For years, her father Bowde and his family made the trip from regional South Australia to holiday at West Beach Parks.

Now 31-year-old Bowde and his wife Madison are creating those same memories with daughters Evie and baby Elsie.

From camping in a tent as a couple to upgrading to a caravan with their young family, Bowde says there’s something special about West Beach Parks.

Teaching kids about road safety is essential, and there’s no better place to learn than the South Australia Police Road Safety Centre at West Beach Parks.

With the help of Jeff the Road Safety Dog, kids can build confidence while learning how to navigate the roads safely, giving parents extra peace of mind.

The centre features a realistic mock roadway where young pedestrians and cyclists can practise in a safe and engaging environment. Complete with traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, a roundabout, railway crossings, and road signs, it’s designed to mirror real-life conditions while keeping learning fun.

The mock roadway is free for community use on weekdays (8-10am and after 3pm) and weekends, including school holidays. Traffic lights operate daily from 8am to 10pm, just remember to bring your own bikes and helmets.
