The Mantra associate with Surya Namaskar:
ॐ सूर्याय नमः ।
Aum Suryaya Namah (English Transliteration)
(Salute to him who induces activity)

The third position is Padahastasana. Also known as hand to foot pose.

Bending forward with the hands touching the floor on the either side of the feet and bringing forhead close to the knees, keeping them straight.

Benefits:
- Full back stretch of all the muscles
-Forward bending of the body strengthens the thighs and improves the posture of the body
-Improves Metabolism that alleviates flatulence, constipation, and indigestion.

sthira = strong

sukham = comfortable; ease filled; happy; light

āsanam = asana; posture; seated position; physical practice

Mantra: ॐ रवये नमः ।
Aum Ravaye Namah
(Salute to the shining one)

The second position is Hasta Utthanasana. Also known as arms raised pose.

Taking the hands from the chest right straight above the head, keeping the shoulders width apart, stretch the body and slowly try to bend the head, arms and upper trunk backwards.

Benefits:
- Full body stretch of all the muscles
-Backward bending of the body strengthens the back, opens the chest and improves the posture of the body

Aum Mitraye Namah
(Salute to the the friend of all)

The first position is Pranamasana. Also known as Prayer pose.
Sun being of an utmost importance for everyone, is worshipped before any commencement.

Standing straight with hands touching thighs to stretching the arms from sides to above the head and joining the hands and bringing it in front of the chest is how the position is taken.

Benefits:
- Full body stretch of all the muscles together and relaxing it immediately by bringing the joined hands in front of the chest.
