Last Sunday we held the first of our monthly meditation & sound sessions, and what a delight it was to share this with our participants! The theme was inspired by the season of autumn, how nature already shows us now is the time to “let go” 🍁 🍂 preparing us for the invitation of deep rest in winter.

Next month’s session is scheduled for the 21st June (winter solstice) same time & location. This nourishing session is designed around supporting ourselves in this season of deep rest, with a little take home gift to complement & continue to support you at home 💜

A couple of places have already been quietly taken, so please reach out to secure your place. With gratitude, Nicole xo

I recently took my daughter to a birthday party. We were running very late; I raced in dragging my daughter along and ran up to a mum from school & congratulated her on her daughter’s birthday and gave her the gift. I wondered why she looked at me strangely, to then realise she wasn’t the mum, and her daughter wasn’t the birthday girl! I smiled sheepishly, had a chuckle and said “can you imagine what I’d be like without my meditation & mindfulness practices?!” 😜

Sometimes I don’t like sharing that I teach yoga & mindfulness meditation, as I (maybe inaccurately) feel this weighted societal expectation to always show up calm, grounded, almost serene like as if walking on clouds. And most of the time, yes my daily practices do help me stay within my window of tolerance.
But the truth is, we’re all human, and prone to the same life stressors & experiences. I am so grateful for my daily practices that support me, whether it’s just a few rounds of bumblebee or alternate nostril breathing, or a grounding standing meditation barefoot outside, or if time permits a longer practice.

What is something that you do for yourself daily, that supports you?

Curious to understand the practice, science & art of mindfulness meditation? 🧘‍♀️

I’ll be guiding a four-week introduction to mindfulness meditation workshop at starting in a few weeks. For those of you unaware, I am in my final year of a mindfulness meditation teaching program, and I am so excited to share what has changed & enriched my way of being.

My aim is to provide a safe space where we can come together to learn, practice and cultivate these tools into our everyday lives.

If you are interested to learn more or would like to reserve your place, I’d love to hear from you 💖

Recently, through both my meditation teachings and the retreat, I have been learning about the natural emotion joy, and how for a lot of us as we enter into adulthood, it can be an emotion that tends to get ignored, or not given as much attention. But it has a rightful place, and one that we can cultivate through .

As I was out on my morning walk today, I walked past a home where I assume the mum just arrived to surprise her kids with a new puppy. The kids ran outside shrieking for joy, and there were cuddles (and little barks!!) and I couldn’t help but stop and witness this moment. I noticed that whilst not “my” joy, I too could feel the warmth flood through my own body. The saying “where attention goes, energy flows” is such a powerful expression of this 💖 I hope you get to take a moment to pause today and notice a moment of pure joy.. and if you do, please share xx

✨ Our GRATITUDE jar ✨ at the start of 2025, we started a family gratitude practice, where we left post it notes & a pen next to an empty jar, & at any point throughout the year we could write down what we were grateful for and place inside. Yesterday (New Years Day) we started our new tradition of sitting down as a family to read them all. There were moments we had forgotten about, and moments of surprise, love & laughter as we found out what others had written, especially from our eldest child (8yo). Our hearts were full, and now the jar is ready to be filled with gratitude for 2026. This year we also wrote down our aspirations for 2026.
There is now endless scientific backed evidence of the mental & physical benefits of a gratitude practice, and we definitely felt that for ourselves. If you’re looking to improve your wellbeing & calm your nervous system, give this a go! Let me know if you do 💓

Today marks two years since I offered my first come & try yin yoga class at Tara Hall, so this post is to express my gratitude to each and every one of you! As a community offering, this practice is able to run each week because of you ❤️ I have taken a moment to reflect on this amazing and supportive community which shows up, whether you’ve practiced once or (nearly) 100 classes with me in this space, I acknowledge my thanks to you, and the practice we have shared and may continue to share together.

On an aside, this is advance notice that classes will continue to run until Tues 16th Dec, and return on Tues 13th Jan. This will be reflected on our booking system app (bookyway).

Once again, what a pleasure to hold space for each and every one of you. Best wishes and may the holiday season be filled with love and joy for you and your families. Namaste

💪 Intense. Insights. Peace. Calm. Tranquility. Discomfort. Pain. Questioning. Bliss. Freedom. 💖
I’ve reemerged after a 6 night (online) silent insight vipassana meditation retreat. The greatest gift we can give ourselves, even for a moment or two each day, is to listen to our breath, our body, our mind, noticing what arises with curiosity, not judgment. Trying to put the experience into words feels too insignificant for it, as it was immeasurable, but the experience will not be forgotten. What felt most special for me was to stay at my Nonna’s home for the duration of the retreat, which was very nourishing and wholesome on so many levels. The images attempt to capture the mindful experience;
☕️ morning coffee on the stovetop,
🍈 fresh figs for breakfast picked from the tree,
🍃 noticing new life emerging from the cut tree stump on my walks,
🫶🏻 priceless quality time with my 88 year old Italian grandmother who made sure I was never hungry 😋
🐓 💧 seeing the joy in the chickens frolicking in the sprinkler

What stayed with me was a quote “Suffering is not your fault, but it is your responsibility”. We have the ability to always choose our response; we may not like any of the choices we have, but we can still decide how to respond, from a place of loving awareness, rather than a reaction.
Thank you to the beautiful teachers on retreat, Mal Huxter & Lisa Brown from their teachings & insights.

And a huge thank you to the village it took to allow me to step away from home to embark on this retreat 🙏
