Once a Navy Blue, always a Navy Blue The Pulteney Football Club has a strong tradition of success, courage and respect for the guernsey.

We expect everyone who steps over the white line on a Saturday – from first-year school leavers to seasoned veterans, from those who’ve been Pulteney men since day one to those who we’ve welcomed from elsewhere – to uphold it.

Our B-men played some terrific footy yesterday. This clip shows great lead-up play by Jack Sutton, Darcy Bryan and Max Boucher, with Lucas Szczurko-Weetra getting on the end of a couple, showing awesome goal awareness.

Go Blues! Go Tilly!

We didn't get to hear the song this week, but will go again after next week's bye, refreshed and re-focused. Our A-men went down to second-placed Hope Valley while our B-men traded goals in another nail-biter to go down by two points. We were unable to get our C-men on the park, and our Women fought hard against second-placed Adelaide Uni in difficult conditions.

PFC players will be wearing black armbands tomorrow to commemorate the life of Chris Sullivan.

Chris was a club doctor with the Pulteney Football Club and passed away on Monday 18th May.

He was the uncle of former club president Tim Ridgway and a beloved great-uncle of current PFC players Sophie and Elliot, Anne-Marie and Georgina.

A proud supporter of the Pulteney Old Scholars Football Club, Chris was warm-hearted and generous with his time and wisdom. He cared deeply for his patients, friends and family. Chris had a sharp intellect, a remarkable memory and showed extraordinary resilience and strength living with Parkinson’s for more than 30 years.

Chris was also part of an incredibly successful rowing crew at Pulteney in 1968/9, winning back-to-back Heads of the River. The crew held the record time for the course on the River Torrens and is arguably the finest rowing crew the School has ever seen.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Wednesday 3rd June at Pulteney Grammar School Chapel, Adelaide, at 1.30pm, followed by drinks and nibbles at the Cremorne Hotel at 3.00pm.
