⭐️⭐️ Congratulations Hugo Taheny and Lillee Wakefield on your selection for the 2027 Virtus Asia- Oceania Games to be held in Bangkok Thailand in February 2027

Four South Australian athletes: Inara Castle, Hugo Taheny, Lillee Wakefield and Jack White, have been selected to the Australian team for the 2027 Virtus Asia-Oceania Games in Thailand next year!

Congratulations on your selections, and we look forward to following your performances in Bangkok.

📣 Westerns are hosting the Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills Course at our club on Sunday 1st November, run by the Little Athletics SA office.

👟 ALL PRACTICAL, NO EXAM, NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

The Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills Course is designed to help participants become better placed to assist children to perform basic athletic skills.

The course is great for those who want to know more about the skills of Athletics, so that they may help to coach children, assist at Little Athletics Centres or prepare students for school athletics carnivals.

🏃 Participants will be shown how to introduce and teach the fundamentals of each Little Athletics event to beginners.

DURATION: 1 day course – approximately 6 hours

DATE: Sunday 1st November - 11am - 5pm

COST: $85.00 per participant

Participants must be 16 years of age at the time of the course to participate.

NOTE: The Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills Course is nationally recognised by Little Athletics Australia, however it is not an accredited course. Certificates of attendance will be presented at the completion of the course. Upon request, school teachers can also be provided with a “Teachers Professional Development” document to use the Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills Course towards their required professional learning.

🌧️ WET WEATHER UPDATE – HOME MEET 3 💙💛🖤

Unfortunately, tonight’s meet is cancelled due to the wet weather, with rain and thunderstorms forecast during our set-up and competition window.

The safety of our athletes, officials, volunteers and families is always our top priority. We also need to protect our equipment and facilities from potential damage in these conditions, so we’ve made the decision to cancel tonight’s meet.

Still keen to compete this weekend? Head along to our friends at Woodville Little Athletics or Plympton Flyers Little Athletics Club and get your athletics fix! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The Turner Real Estate PB Classic I is coming up on Sunday, 22 November 2026, with athletes from Tiny Tots to U17 invited to take part!

🏅 Up to 5 events for each athlete
👟 Tiny Tots: A fun 1-hour session with our Development Officers
💰 Entry fee: $28 per athlete
