Fancy yourself a superstar or just wanting to get down to some Shania - The Groove are back in town next Saturday night for our Karaoke Night.

Supported by a live band and singer, sing your heart out to cult classics such as eagle rock or slow the pace down with a romantic ballad.

Anyone who came last year knows the night is one not to miss whether you can sing or not.

Entry for non-members by purchasing a meat tray raffle ticket on the night for $10. Members encouraged to get in on the action too.

Wake up on Sunday with a chance of no voice but a healthy meat tray in your fridge.

With our Reserves enjoying a well-earned bye, it’s a split weekend for the Cats as every team takes on an important challenge.

🏠 At home, our A Grade hosts Portland in a crucial clash at David Reid Homes Oval. It’s also a special day as we welcome back our 2016 Premiership team to celebrate their flag reunion. We can’t wait to see plenty of familiar faces back around the club!

🚗 Our C Grade gets the day underway on the road against Eastern Park, while our Women’s A Grade heads to Walkerville for their final minor round match of the season. Let’s get behind the girls as they finish their home-and-away campaign strong.

CARLY REHBEIN – 50 GAMES 🔴⚪️

Tomorrow, our women’s captain Carly Rehbein runs out for her 50th senior game for the Woody Cats! 🐾

Reaching 50 senior games is always a huge achievement in women’s football, and there’s no one more deserving. A tough midfielder and forward, Carly may be small in stature, but she plays with strength, composure and quick decision-making. She leads by example every week, setting the standard with her passion, effort and commitment to the team.

Teammate Liana summed Carly up perfectly:

“Carly brought the energy and the vibes from the moment she walked through the doors. When Carly is up, everyone is up. She’s confident, knowledgeable and a natural leader, while off the field she’s genuine, reliable, supportive and someone everyone loves being around.”

Coach Ben credits Carly as the reason he coaches the women’s team:

“She’s the reason I’m coaching the women’s team. She cares about others and always puts the team first. She’s genuine, measured and logical, a deep footy thinker, but above all an all-round ripping human!”

A change-up in times and locations this weekend as we celebrate one of the biggest days on our calendar – Ladies Day!

Our Women’s A Grade gets the day underway at 10:15am on home soil, before our Men’s Reserves and A Grade take over David Reid Homes Oval.

Meanwhile, our C Grade hits the road for a 12:15pm clash against Salisbury.
