CLUB UPDATE | A-GRADE COACHING APPOINTMENT
Prince Alfred Old Collegians Soccer Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Peter Chesini as the club’s 2027 Senior Coach.
Peter - or ‘Peachy’ as he is known - steps up from his role as B-Grade Coach and A-Grade assistant this season.
He has been a long-standing member of the PAOCSC family for many years, serving as a player, volunteer, assistant coach and now senior coach.
He will be supported by Tony Scalzi and Josh Bushell.
Peter said he was honoured to take the reins at PAOCSC.
“This is a club that has given me so much, not only as a player, but as a person,” he said.
“The club has given me the opportunity to grow and continue my football journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust that has been placed in me.
“I hope to repay that trust by giving everything I can to the players, the club and everyone involved, and by helping us achieve success both on and off the field.
“It’s been pretty special to watch this club evolve during my time here.
“I’ve seen the highs, the challenges, the growth and everything in between.
“A big thank you to Spiro for his support, guidance and commitment over the years, and for helping lay such a strong foundation.
“I’m proud to be stepping into this role and together with the support of Tony and Josh I’m confident we will build on the strong foundation and keep the club moving forward.
“I’m excited for what lies ahead and can’t wait to get to work!”
PAOCSC President Spiro Karanikos-Mimis said the Board had no hesitation appointing Peter once he expressed an interest in the position.
“Peter loves this club, is an excellent coach and most importantly someone we believe can guide and nurture our players,” he said.
“His work this year was exemplary; during training, at games and around the club in general.
“He is hard-working, knows our game well and we know his appointment will benefit not just the A-Grade but the club as a whole.”
Congratulations Peter!
