HUGE Welcome to our beautiful Gaylene 😍

We are thrilled that Gaylene has come on board with us here at Breathe Life of wellness to help out with Client Communication and Administration 🍃

I’ve quickly discovered that I can’t wear all the hats anymore.. as much as I would love to! This way I can be more focused on clients when I’m with them.

You may have already had some communication with Gay.. She’s a beautiful person - kind and helpful, but also very professional with many years experience as a medical receptionist.

Gaylene and I (Marie) are both in our client new communication platforms:

Mobile: 0495107114 (text only)

Make sure to make Gaylene feel very welcome! 🙏💕

Brilliantly said! ❤️ That’s why sometimes when we’re working on someone’s neck, they’re feeling a response in their feet!

LOVE how Bowen works 😍 Treating the body as a whole, not separate parts.

Thankyou Tom Bowen who after working as an osteopath for many years, developed this incredible modality of Bowen Therapy. He believed God imparted to him how to effectively tap into the innate repair state within in the human body! ❤️

A spider doesn't need to sit on every strand to know something has changed.

Information travels through the entire web.

The body is also highly interconnected.

Changes in one area can influence activity elsewhere through muscles, fascia, movement patterns and nervous system responses.

One of the fascinating aspects of Bowen Therapy is learning to view the body as a connected network rather than a collection of separate parts.

Big thanks to Sean Dinham (and founder John Garfield) for a very informative Upper Torso & Neck Applied Myoskeletal Therapy Course which I recently attended..🙏

This was the second part to the Lumbar and Pelvic course I did a while back which was just fantastic and has helped me so much to help my clients! 🤗

Some of the techniques and corrections taught in this most recent training include:

🍃 SPINAL REFLEXES & THE NECK - releases
muscles effecting Dura and Occipital muscles
🍃 LIGAMENTUM NUCHAE RELEASE
🍃 C1 - Some say the most important vertebra in
the spine
🍃 NECK REFLEX - align a vertebra quickly and
gently
🍃 UPPER TRAPS
🍃 PAIN BETWEEN SCAPULAS
🍃 SUBSCAPULARIS RELEASE - rotator cuff
muscle
🍃 UPPER THORACIC RIB FIXATION - Addressing
the condition which is often involved in
shoulder, neck, and arm pain

I look forward to sharing the benefits of these procedures with all of my clients and adding to my current scope of practice! 🙌

A big thankyou to Nina and Heidi for this beautiful Tree of life piece of artwork 🌳

I’m not even sure if they knew this but our heartbeat here is to be a Tree of Life for our community. Bringing peace, calm and restoration to each person that comes in, a place to reduce stress in an often physically and emotionally taxing life - with our a Pilates and Bowen Therapy.

In our Pilates classes, there is no pressure to add springs. We encourage each person to honour their body, meeting their body exactly where it’s at. If you’re wanting to build strength we will absolutely help you do that, but if you need to go a bit easier on your body we will 100% support you in that..

Our bodies will only repair in safety, not in pushing and punishing beyond our bodies capacity.

Thankyou to all who are a part of our tree of life here at Breathe! ❤️🍃

Bowen Therapy to calm the bodies stress response 😮‍💨

Dear Stress, thanks for trying to protect me. But I think we've spent enough time together. 💚

Stress is part of life.

In fact, some stress can help us grow, adapt, and rise to challenges.

The problem is when stress becomes constant.

When we're stuck in a cycle of fight, flight, or freeze, it can affect everything from sleep and digestion to energy levels and overall wellbeing.

Bowen Therapy may help by encouraging deep relaxation and supporting the body's natural shift into a rest-and-digest state.

You can't always remove the stressors in life, but you can support how your body responds to them.

That's where Bowen Therapy may be able to help.

Beautifully said! 😍🙌

The human body possesses a remarkable ability to heal and adapt.

Think about a simple cut.

The band-aid protects the area, but the healing itself is carried out by your body through an intricate series of processes that happen automatically.

New tissue forms. The wound closes. The skin repairs.

No reminders required.

Bowen Therapy is built on a deep respect for this innate intelligence.

Rather than forcing change, Bowen Therapists work with the understanding that the body already has extraordinary capacities for adaptation, regulation, and repair.

Sometimes a cut is a powerful reminder of just how much is happening behind the scenes.

Welcoming Anna to our Breathe Studio! 🤗

You’ve probably seen Anna around here and there..
She has come on to take some evening classes throughout the week.. and is doing such fantastic work!

Anna is so passionate about Pilates - for herself and her own training, but also to bring the benefits of Pilates to our community and clients..

Whilst always ready for a laugh, Anna takes your workout seriously and makes it her priority to look after you all and help you out as much as she can..

A bit from Anna below.. 🍃

“Hi, I’m Anna. I started doing mat pilates about 8 years and reformer pilates for the last 3. I completed my training in 2024. I am also completing my Masters in Public Health, specialising in Health Promotion. Outside of pilates I am a Senior Practitioner in a mental health team. I am very passionate about the links between physical and mental wellbeing and how we as a community can better support people with chronic conditions.

I like reformer pilates because you can get a strong workout and really push yourself with a much lower risk of injury than other activities. I also think the reformer is a very versatile piece of equipment that allows you to do a full body workout. I am invested in helping everyone who attends the studio to meet their goals, whether that is to build strength, increase flexibility or develop better endurance.”
