For those aged 18-45 with no underlying health conditions and blame their age for their sore joints... HEAR ME OUT 🙈

Now more than EVER we're hunched over our screens for work, study, and doom scrolling.

We're just not moving the way we used to move when we were younger 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm not saying get back out on the footy field or basketball court and go your hardest like you did peak puberty... (or do... u do u)

Also not saying to go and hit a tennis ball full pelt after a shoulder or back injury 😅

But think about it. We rarely reach for things above our head anymore (shoulder mobility), we rarely jump anymore (explosiveness and hip mobility), we rarely twist or turn anymore (hello lower back pain)

We've just gotten a little lazy as the years went on.

Start with walking and moving your arms (not looking at your phone), do some lateral and rotational movements in the gym, utilise the fk out of a foam roller, and thank me later 🤓

Chocolate while in a deficit? Crazy if true 🤪

🍳Breakfast: waffles with berries and sugar free maple syrup + a protein shake

🌯Lunch: Salad wraps with meat of choice (usually tuna or chicken), cheese, and light aioli sauce

🌮Dinner: Beef mince burrito bowl with all the veg and oven-baked wrap made as "chips" for extra crunch

🍿Snacks: Popcorn, almonds, fruit, watermelon, LCM bar for quick carbs pre-gym, yopro salted caramel yoghurt, and chocolate 😍

2800 calories while eating GOOD food with some faves on the side!

✨Meal prep does NOT have to be boring, bland, restrictive, or complicated✨

Nothing like lifting on a 41°C day 🥵 Probably the hardest meet I've done so far in terms of mental and physical preparation on the day.

We were sooooo close on the 135kg squat and 155kg deadlift PBs - literally gave it all I had but just missed on both. My back gave up pretty badly for bench to the point it wasn't worth a 3rd attempt. It ok ☺️

T: 322.5kg (still more than my last meet hehe noice)

This comp was far from perfect but knowing the 135kg squat and 155kg deadlift are THERE makes me v excited for the future 🥹
