LRC manages the agistment of Horses on Breakout Creek, River Torrens, as well as fighting to keep a horse presence with the planned wetland project
The Lockleys Riding Club was initially formed by our current patron Mrs Betty Eastgate in the 1970's to lease land from the Lockleys Oval Trust to use for horse riding. In 1984 as part of the Linear Park development the members of the club who were agisting horses on the river decided to incorporate the club to manage the lease of Breakout Creek for horse agistment. Help yourselves, first in best dressed!
Please note due to the recent rain some bags are very heavy.
🐶 Help keep your dog and the horses safe at Break Out Creek / Purruna Pari.
Horses are big, strong animals that can startle easily – even with friendly or well behaved dogs.
Please keep outside the fenced area and always keep your dog under effective control.
