🏃‍♀️ Two weeks left to apply! ⏰

Active recreation, sport and recreational fishing clubs have just two weeks left to apply for their share of more than $1.4 million through the latest round of the Active Club Program. 🙌

💰 Clubs can receive up to $3,000 to support:

⚽ Programs and activities
🏐 New equipment
👩 Menstrual health initiatives
🔨 Small-scale infrastructure upgrades

The funding is designed to help clubs create more opportunities for South Australians to get active, get involved and feel part of their community.

📅 Applications close midday, Wednesday 14 October 2026.

Congratulations to all the winners at Zhik Youth Sail SA this past weekend, as we wrapped up two days of championship racing yesterday.

Plenty of strong performances across all classes, but just as importantly, a weekend that brought young sailors together from across South Australia to race, learn and enjoy being on the water.

Congratulations not only to the sailors recognised, but also to everyone who took part across the weekend, as well as all the amazing volunteers.

There’s no single pathway through sailing.

Paris 2024 Olympian Rhiannan Brown joined us at Zhik Youth Sail SA this weekend, sharing her own journey through the sport and reminding young sailors that every pathway looks different.

From enjoying sailing with friends, to trying different classes, to eventually reaching the Olympic stage, Rhiannan’s message was simple: keep enjoying it, stay open to where the sport can take you, and don’t feel like there is only one way forward.

After speaking with sailors on Saturday night, Rhiannan also spent time on the water today, getting a first-hand look at the racing and the range of classes competing here in South Australia.

Paige and Sophie returned to competition together this weekend after around two years apart, finishing as the first female crew in the 420 fleet at Zhik Youth Sail SA.

Four races on the final day made for a physical finish, but they completed every race and enjoyed being back racing together ahead of the 420 Nationals at Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club this summer.
