🚨 ROUND 2 SELECTIONS 🚨

This week sees our A and B grade sides return to two day action for the first time this season and will see our LOs kick off their campaign.

With skipper Tom Cousins off to Noosa on holiday 🏝️, Josiah Grzyb will step into the captains shoes for the first home game of the season. The A grade have also made a few changes to last weeks side, with Riely Williams, Mitch Kennedy, Richie Rostron, Eric Cheesman, and Vince Minervini all playing in their first A grade games of the year.

The B grade welcomes back captain Brad Phillips this week as they head out to Cabra West Oval to take on Goodwood. After a big win last week they’ll be looking to make it 2 from 2, and will welcome Kai Malady and Sam Richmond for their first B grade games of the year. A special mention to Richo who is playing his first 2 day game for the club.

The LOs will open their season down the road at Fulham led by skipper Michael Ottaviano and will be looking to get off to a winning start. The side will welcome a number of guys for their first games including Matt Kennedy, father of Mitch, and John Butcher.

Good Luck to all 3 sides this weekend and get down to Flinders Park to support the A grade ❤️💙💛

🚨 ROUND 1 RESULTS 🚨

It’s a mixed bag of results at the conclusion of round 1, with the A grade going down in a tight contest at Brahma Lodge and the B grade picked up a big win at home

It was a tough start for the A grade, falling to 6/61 after being sent in to bat before Josiah Grzyb and debutant Lachy McCarty put on a hard worked 68 run partnership to bring us back into the game. Some valuable contributions from Hamish Case and Shelby Grindlay helped bring the score to a competitive 166. Some good bowling efforts from Tom Cousins and Hamish Case were unfortunately not enough to get us over the line and we will look to build from this loss next week.

The B grade boys got their season off to a flyer with a big win over Trinity. After being sent in to bat, Vince Minervini and Ben Cheesman put on an opening stand of 75, before some late innings contributions from Declan Amato, Finlay Pittman, and Vice Captain Riely Williams got us to 154 at the close of innings. Eric Cheesman then ripped through the Trinity top order, before B grade debutants Kyron Burgess and Declan Amato dismantled the rest of the Trinity batting lineup, leaving Big Swing to clean up the last wicket and secure a big win in round 1 ❤️💙💛

🚨 ROUND 1 SELECTIONS 🚨

McCarty is back and so is the cricket! 2/3 of our sides kick off their season tomorrow and there are plenty of new and returning faces!

The A grade are heading up to Brahma Lodge and bring with them a series of debutants! Congrats to the trio of Hamish Case, Jack Amato, and Lachy McCarty on making their A grade debuts tomorrow! We also welcome back Jordan Ward and Paul Amato for their first A grade games at Flinders Park in some time!

The B grade will host Trinity at home under the guidance of stand-in skipper Richie Rostron. Kyron Burgess will make his club debut and little Declan Amato will play his first B grade game! Come down and support the boys as they kick off their season at home!

Good luck to all our sides in their opening games this weekend ❤️💙💛
