APA SA Showdown 2024 โš”๏ธ

Our second APA competition here in Adelaide! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A massive thank you to all the lifters who brought pure heart, guts, and grit to the platform. You made this event what it was.

FIRST EVENT UNDERWAY!! ๐Ÿ’ช

Join us on the 24th of August for our first deadlift-only fundraiser competition! Test your strength, showcase your deadlifting skills, and help raise funds for our club. Whether you're a seasoned lifter or just starting out, this event is open to all. Come lift, compete, and support a great cause.

Prizes are available for the heaviest deadlift overall and heaviest deadlift relative to bodyweight. All proceeds from the event will be reinvested back into the powerlifting club to purchase better equipment ๐Ÿ‹

Meet the coaches pt. 3 ๐Ÿ‹

Our third coach joining the Adelaide University Powerlifting Club team is Brian Ting. As an accredited exercise physiologist, Brian has an incredible understanding of human movement and how it translates into the world of powerlifting. Teaming up with CorpsMagna, Brian's network is surrounded by elite athletes and coaches, including Australia's own Leo Sucrita, who has previously competed at IPF Worlds.

Joining us alongside Max in the coaching team is Dean. This man lives and breathes powerlifting - if he's not coaching here, you can find him running his own gym (Strengthworx) alongside his partner in crime, Dyllon. Dean has already seen major success with his current clients, and seeks to deliver the same results to the members of the Powerlifting Club

Introducing our first coach and resident Greek God, Maximus Tabart ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ

Max is a highly experienced lifter who is currently riding a wave of momentum with his recent lifts. These achievements have earned him a spot at APA nationals, where he will be set to compete amongst the best later this year. Alongside his training, Max is working towards his Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology, making him the perfect fit for our coaching squad.
