Karting has been a bit of a letdown lately, with a lack of power and handling. Hopefully, we can get to grips with the Parolin soon. Some practice would probably be helpful instead of just going to race meetings. Hopefully, the changes we've made will work out for our race at Barossa this weekend. On the other hand, Diesel had a great sim racing experience last night in the land of all things being equal Porsche cup, despite a poor qualifying performance. He managed to drive from P20 to 8th with the pace to finish top 4. This was a top-split race with some big names that I'm sure some people will recognize.

Happy Easter race fans hope everyone has a great long weekend. We will hopefully be back out karting soon.

We completed the 2nd race, having started the day with the 2nd fastest practice time, 1.5 seconds behind first place. This set our goal for the day: bridging the gap. We finished 2nd and 3rd in all the races, but more importantly, we were only 0.03 seconds slower in the final, reducing the gap to hundredths of a second. We picked up our first trophy in juniors, finishing 2nd. Apparently, someone hadn't done enough racing for one day, so they jumped on the sim as soon as we got home. 🥈🏆

Off to Monarto again this Sunday for our second race as a junior a little bit better prepared this time after fixing a long list of little things not quite where or how they should be.

First junior race weekend completed, a solid first weekend not as far off the pace as we expected, all things considered. Definitely some work to be done, like Diesel growing some muscle 💪, his skinny little arms were struggling. The free set of tyres was a nice little bonus, thank you to the series sponsors. A big thanks to the Pittam Motosport team for the support, every little bit helps. And congratulations to Scarlet on the win 🏆 👏.

This weekend's race is the first round of the Festival State Cup and my first junior race. Since we've only taken the kart out once before, and spent most of that time running the motor in, we don't have high expectations, but it will be a valuable learning experience. I'm excited to see how much I can improve over the weekend.
