It was great to see everyone back last night. In the kids class after a really good warm up and a great stretch routine from Sempai Matt we practiced pad work and kick shield drills. We then went onto the mats and practiced our take downs and our ground fighting.
We finished the class with footwork and Kata. It was great to see that everyone had kept up their training during there holiday break. In the Adults class after warming up and some dynamic stretching we refined our skills on self defence from punches, kicks and grabs. We also practiced self defence against a Baton or a baseball bat. It was a great class in which we set up random attacks that would happen in a street environment. Everybody had fun and learned something useful to take away.
We then finished the class practicing our grade katas and critiquing them so that we can improve our strengths and weaknesses.
Can’t wait to see you all next and do it all again.
