PART 2 🇵🇹 | A day in the life of a youth footballer in Porto
7am start and straight into another full day.
Bus from the apartment to his morning Technical Development session, working on the individual parts of his game from 10am–11am.
Then it’s back home, some food, rest and recovery before heading out again.
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the next trip is to his 2pm gym session, working on the physical side of his development.
Back home around 4pm, another chance to eat, recover and reset. Monday is done here.
But on Tuesday to Friday, the day still isn’t finished. He’s back out again for club training from 8pm–10pm.
That’s the reality of the Porto programme and how hard youth footballers work in Europe. Training, travelling, eating, recovering and doing it all again the next day.
It’s not just about getting more football sessions in. It’s about experiencing what a more demanding football environment actually feels like and learning how to manage yourself through it.
Building bridges between talent and opportunities. 🇦🇺🤝🇵🇹⚽️
