Jacob Smith #4
Utility
Jacob has been playing baseball for 3 years with the East Torrens Baseball Club. He mainly plays third base and outfield but can play anywhere on the diamond, wherever he is needed. He has also been working hard on his pitching in preparation for the tournament. His strength is his batting and has been known to hit the long ball, picking up plenty of doubles and triples this season. In Queensland he is going for that elusive home run and hoping to put one over.
Jacob is really looking forward to the flight to Queensland and spending time with his friends on and off the baseball diamond. Jacob has an older brother and sister, 3 cats and a dog. When not playing baseball, Jacob spends his time play footy for the Modbury Football club. Jacob is a Port supporter and his favourite sports person is Zac Butters.

Hudson
Train-on
Hudson has been training with the team through all the preparation for both tournaments. He's been working extremely hard to develop his skills and is an absolute pleasure to work with. Need any position covered, he's there. Need someone to catch a ball pen, he's got it covered. Happy to do anything asked of him and enjoying everyone moment out there on the diamond, always with a smile on his face. He's impressed the coaches with his determination and improved so much since the beginning of this process. He's definitely a player to look out for in the future!

Riley #11
Pitcher / Short stop
Riley is brilliant all over the ground no matter what position he is playing. He reads the ball well and moves his feet quickly to the ball. He can play all positions, is a great hitter and a fast and smart base runner.
He is our most consistent pitcher and is looking to add a bunch more Ks to his tally.
Riley's favourite colour is red and his favourite food is steak.
Not only is he a great baseballer, he is also a champion footballer and basketballer. Don't worry, the black eye is not from playing baseball its from a very competitive parents v kids footy match. Baseball is definitely much safer!

Kylie - EO
Kylie has been working extremely hard behind the scenes, planning and organising the trip to Queensland. Together with some of our amazing parent volunteers, she has put together a bunch of fund-raising events to help get the team to Queensland including an awesome Salsa party night and a fantastic quiz night. She has been preparing food for our events, organising BBQs, supporting our coaching staff and players, all while sorting out uniforms and preparing the players and families for the tournament.

All three coach during the regular season with the East Torrens Baseball Club and have been working these boys hard to prepare them for the tournament.
Armando has one son on the team. Nick has two. This is their first time working with the Marlins team and they will be assisting Karen with the team.
