It is with a mix of gratitude and a heavy heart that I announce the indefinite break and closure of Melissa Fitness, effective 14th April 2025.

This decision has been incredibly difficult, as our fitness community holds a special place in my heart. Since opening in September 2016, my passion has always been to help and motivate each and every one of you to achieve a happier and healthier self through fitness. Creating an environment that is welcoming, fun, and encouraging has been my utmost priority, and it has been an incredible journey to see how far we have come together.

To all of you who have been part of Melissa Fitness during the past 8.5 years, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering commitment, support, and friendship. It has been an honor to be a part of your fitness journeys and to witness the positive changes in your lives. The memories and experiences we have shared will always hold a special place in my heart.

Our final session is happening on Saturday, 12th April. To celebrate the amazing memories and milestones weโ€™ve shared, weโ€™ll gather for a farewell brunch on Sunday, 13th April. If youโ€™d like to join, please send me a message, and Iโ€™ll share the details with you.

Thank you once again for being an essential part of this amazing community. I hope to reconnect if circumstances change, but for now I need to prioritise my personal and familyโ€™s well-being.

Weโ€™re thrilled to announce our modified Christmas timetable with two weeks of beach bootcamp sessions! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป

Sessions kick off at 8AM with four sessions available per week:

Tuesday 24th December: West Beach
Thursday 26th December: Hallett Cove
Friday 27th December: Seacliff
Saturday 28th December: West Beach
Monday 30th December: Seacliff
Tuesday 31st December: Glenelg
Saturday 4th January: West Beach
Sunday 5th January: Largs Bay

Normal sessions will resume at Forbes Primary School starting Monday, 6th January 2025.

Today marks a special milestone for our group training community โ€“ 8 incredible years of sweat, smiles, and support! This year has been particularly unique for me as I welcomed my first baby into the world.๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’•

During my maternity leave, I had to step back a bit from the business, but I was incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful member and friend step up. Mel studied hard to become a group instructor and took over the reins, doing an absolutely amazing job.๐ŸŒŸ

A huge thank you to all our members for your unwavering support over the years and your ongoing commitment. You are the heart and soul of our community, making it a unique, welcoming, fun, and encouraging place for everyone.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿฉต

A high intensity workout that combines boxing and kickboxing moves with cardio, core, upper and lower body exercises. Working with a partner or individually (shadow boxing), it's a great stress relief, youโ€™ll be challenged and burn lots of calories.๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Congratulations to our member Zoe who participated in the Adelaide Marathon Festival this morning!

After endless months of hard work and dedication, Zoe completed her first half marathon today and it was such an honour to cheer her on as she crossed that finish line!

High Intensity Interval Training will have you exercise for short periods of time at an intense level, followed by brief recovery periods whilst working every muscle in your body. Combining cardio and strength exercises using bodyweight and/or equipment will have you burning fat and building muscle.

We also love including fitness games like this, itโ€™s what makes fitness fun!

Cassie: โ€œOne of my biggest achievements in my fitness journey has been completing a half marathon. It was a goal that I had set years ago but couldnโ€™t complete without a guide runner due to my vision loss. Shout out to Melissa and her partner Luke for helping me achieve that goal!โ€

Riana: โ€œI ran a half marathon in May of 2023, and Iโ€™m currently training for another in November of this year. Five years ago being able to run distance at any level felt completely unreachable.โ€
