Flinders Medical Students' Society FMSS is the peak representative body for medical students in the Flinders MD program. Access to AMSA membership, events and advocacy.

We deal with student advocacy as well as running events throughout the year for our members. Member benefits include:

FMSS continues to advocate for the Albanese Government to reconsider its mistake: excluding medical students from its payment to support attending clinical placement program.

We would like to thank the Australian Medical Association - SA for including an extended piece in their most recent edition of MedicSA highlighting why this issue is so important.

In the meantime we have also written to Blair Boyer MP as the SA Health Minister, seeking reasonable cost of living supports from the state government.

Public health workers affiliated with SA Health currently enjoy the benefit of free public transport to and from the hospital. We have asked that this be extended to medical (and all health) students as well.

The error Mark Butler MP and Jason Clare have made this week will be paid for not just by the people who cannot study medicine due to lack of privilege, but by the communities they come from and which they will not go on to care for.

FMSS calls on the Albanese Government to fix this mistake.
