🥋🔥 WT REDEFINES COMBAT ON THE ROAD TO LOS ANGELES 2028
🟥By MundoTaekwondo.com
📍 UZBEKISTAN — The World Taekwondo General Assembly in Tashkent has approved a series of changes set to mark a turning point in Olympic taekwondo.
🔥 STRONGER PENALTIES FOR PASSIVITY
In the final 10 seconds:
🚫 Stepping out of bounds
🚫 Falling down
🚫 Avoiding engagement
👉 Will result in Gam-jeom + 2 points to the opponent
💥 What changes?
1️⃣ No more “freezing” the fight
2️⃣ Constant attacking until the very end
3️⃣ More dramatic comebacks
⚠️ No one will be able to manage the clock passively
📈 NEW POINT GAP (MAXIMUM LEAD)
⬆️ Increased from 12 to 15 points
Why?
🥋 Spinning head kicks are now worth 6 points
⚖️ STRICTER BOUNDARY RULES
👣 If ANY part of the foot crosses the line…
👉 Automatic Gam-jeom
💥 This removes:
❌ Referee interpretation
❌ Edge “gamesmanship”
✔️ More clarity
✔️ More consistency
🥋 RETURN TO TRADITIONAL RESPECT
Before declaring the winner:
👉 “Cha-ryeot” (attention)
👉 “Kyeong-rye” (bow)
💡 Purpose:
🥋 Reinforce traditional values
🤝 Show genuine respect
⚖️ Balance sport and tradition
🎥 TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION
🔍 Technical Card System
✔️ Appeals at any time
✔️ Covers system, referee or operator errors
❌ Incorrect appeal = Gam-jeom
👨⚖️ Review Jury + TD + CSB
📍 Intervene in critical decisions
📍 Final 10 seconds
📍 High-level events
👉 Fewer errors, greater fairness
World Taekwondo Technical Director Philippe Bouedo has led this transformation.
💬 “Clearer rules and technology reduce subjectivity. We are also bringing back respect to reinforce taekwondo’s identity.”
🔥 Where is the sport heading?
✔️ More active fights
✔️ Fairer decisions
✔️ Stronger martial identity
🥇 CONCLUSION
World Taekwondo takes a firm step forward.
Heading into Los Angeles 2028, we will see:
🔥 More intense bouts
🧠 Greater strategy
🥋 Stronger respect
🙌 ADAPT OR FALL BEHIND
Athletes and coaches must evolve quickly.
👉 The rules have changed…
👉 The game has changed
🚨 The road to Los Angeles has begun
And it will be more demanding than ever.

JUST KICKS TEAM – PROUD MOMENT 👊🔥
A huge congratulations to all our athletes from Just Kicks Taekwondo for stepping up and representing at the KICK IT TOURNAMENT!
We are incredibly proud of every single one of you who took to the mat, showed courage, and gave it your all. Win, lose, or draw — it’s about the experience, the growth, and the lessons you take away.
Special mention to all our first-time competitors 👏
Stepping onto the mat for the very first time takes real bravery. You faced your nerves, trusted your training, and showed what it means to be part of the Just Kicks family. That first step is always the hardest — and you did it!
This is just the beginning of your journey 💥
A big thank you to all our coaches, volunteers, and supporters who made the day possible. Your time, energy, and passion behind the scenes and ringside are what create these opportunities for our athletes to grow and succeed.
We’re proud of the effort, the sportsmanship, and the way you all supported each other throughout the day.
On to the next challenge — we grow stronger together! 🥋🔥
