Teachers, education providers and community members are invited to have their say on proposed changes to South Australia's teacher registration framework.

The proposed amendments aim to modernise teacher registration, introduce digital registration services, strengthen child safety measures and improve the operation of the legislation that supports the teaching profession in South Australia.

Your feedback will help inform improvements that support public confidence in the profession while ensuring the registration framework remains effective, responsive and fit for purpose.

Recently, we were delighted to host the Teachers Registration Board Annual Awards Ceremony at the beautiful Adelaide Town Hall, celebrating the outstanding achievements and contributions of teachers and education professionals across South Australia.

The event was well attended by nominees, award recipients, Board members and staff, all coming together to recognise the dedication, passion and impact of those who make a difference in the lives of students every day.

Applications are now open for 2027 NAPLAN writing test markers!

If you are a teacher (current or retired) with a sound knowledge of literacy and English grammar, we want you to apply.

Successful applicants:
✔️ will receive training in the marking rubric
💵 get payment for marking scripts
⌚ can accrue hours of professional development.

Marking is scheduled for mid-March for 3 to 4 weeks.
Applications close 30 October 2026.
