Brock Penna and Ellen Martini have been selected to represent Australia in archery at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games - the first Olympic sporting event ever held on the African continent.

The Games will run from 31 October to 13 November 2026, with archery contested at Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio.

Competed in indoor nationals this weekend finished up 1st in under 18s and 2nd in state and 8th nationally in open nationally.

Tuesday night I was invited to speak with the
Rotary Club of Northern Yorke Peninsula about my archery journey so far. I am grateful for their support with my fundraising and it was a privilege to speak with them.

Great day at Great Southern Archers for the Indoors team event where I shot with Ava penna and Miles Reynolds where we took home gold. Great performance by all the archers that competed.

2026 Youth Nationals in Launceston Tasmania. An interesting week with all different weather conditions. I learnt a lot of valuable lessons on my mental and physical game. It was great to catch up with friends from other state and even other countries. Thank you to Archery GW, Archery Supplies for all of their support. I finished up 1st 🥇 on the field 2nd 🥈 in the 900 round and 720/individual match play. Also managed to win gold in the teams event where I shot with . Thank you to all the judges, volunteers and coaches/team managers. Awesome effort to everyone who participated in the tournament.

2026 state field was a great warm up form youth nationals in Launceston early next month. For my first time shooting off of the red marker, I was very happy with a 334 at the state field championships. Thanks Eden Field Archers for running the tournament the course was probably the hardest course that I’ve shot so far. Great job to all the participants that competed today.
