Another great seminar. The weekend started with a lecture on the Friday night. While I have heard Li Laoshi give many lectures and have spoken at length with him many times, this Lecture was simply amazing. Li Laoshi spoke about the two 2 philosophies of Baguazhang. The TCC (circa 600AD) and the GGZ (circa 2,500BC) and our art as their direct application. The depth of Baguazhang is outstanding. Over the weekend Li Laoshi then covered a number of Palm changes from Dragon including applications of Single Changing Palm. Studying the applications made it very clear as to why we spend so long building up our foundation with Single Changing Palm. We also spent a lot more time than previously on Single Hook studying changes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The ability to change direction that comes from this training is brilliant. On Sunday we went deeper into the Whip Stick. We first were taught this 2 years ago and have practiced it since that time. Going deeper into the movements this time was very interesting and like doing it again for the first time. Sunday afternoon we practiced the essential movements of the Bagua Long Spear. Everyone has improved since we first were taught this in Feb2014. Thank you Li Lasoshi for once again spending your time and energy to come and share your art with us. We are very privileged and look forward to continuing with our practice and seeing you again the future.
