On Sunday The Well Dressed Cyclist was out at the Bicycle SA Grand Skam, riding from Woodside around the hills through some local towns and back to Woodside. Excellent morning out and got to catch up with other cyclist

Sam Wellsford (red bull- Bors) gets the hat trick of wins on Australia Day, which makes it 2 years in a row to win 3 stages.

Stage 5 McLaren vale to Willunga
Johnaton Narvez (UAE) Won the race up the iconic willunga hill, with a last push 3 meters behind for the line to overtake Oscar Onley (Picnic Postal) who has second quickest time on strava up willunga hill Fin Fisher-black (Redbull-Bora). and Luke Plapp (Jayco Alula) were in the lead bunch to round out the to placings. Narvez (UAE) takes the leaders jersey, Sam wellsford (redbull-bora) holds onto the sprint jersey on count back and Fergus Browning keeps the polka dot mountain jersey

Stage 4 Glenelg to Victor Harbour
Bryan Coquard (cofidis) took the victory along the esplanade in Victor.
Javier Romo Oliver (movistar) retains the leaders jersey. Sam Welsford (Redbull-bora) holds onto the sprint classification and youngster Fergus Browning (cycling Australia national team) keeps the Polkadot jersey for another day. Today saw riders coming down the hill into victor harbour going 105kph
Congrats to all the riders who competed in the Radl Grvl, which starred former formula 1 race driver Valteri Bottas and his wife pro female cyclist Tiffany Cromwell
Stage 5 starts in mclaren vale and ventures around the vine region, along the beach at snapper point and up willunga hill twice

Stage 3 Norwood to Uraidla
Spaniard Javier Romo Oliver (Movistar) surprised the peloton with a long sprint, the unsuspecting teams had to scramble to react but the damage was done with not a lot of time to organise a chase to take his first world tour win and claims the lead of the tour by 8 seconds
Fergus Browning (Aus cycling national team) had another day out in front and collected 20 more points in the king of the mountain classification, with nearly an unassailable lead with 3 days remaining, before being reeled back in by the peloton. Sam Wellsford (red bull- Bora) keeps his lead of the sprinting classification but looses the leaders jersey to Romeo Oliver.
Well done to all the riders who rode in the Epic Adelaide. Remarkable effort by all, I wish I could have been out there with you having fun
Tomorrow the tour is off to the south coast, starting at Glenelg travelling south through yankalilla, then up Parowa Hill then onto victor Harbour

Stage 2 Tanunda to Tununda 128.8kms 3 laps around the Barossa region and up Menglers hill 3 times.
Sam Welsford (red bull-bora) makes it 2 wins from 2 stages, but he had to do it the hard way. After a crash within the first 10kms of the day and being dropped on the final climb and had to work hard to get back with the main bunch to fight for rhe win. Fergus Browning (Aus cycling national team) has another great day out collecting maximum points of the first 2 climbs up Menglers hill to keep him in the polka dot jersey for another day.
Tomorrow the amateur riders will head out before the pro’s race, they will get to enjoy the scenery of the hills and get to taste what it’s like to be a professional for a day, all the best to them, starting at Norwood and finishing at Uraidla via Macclesfield and Hahndorf 147kms

Tour Down Under STAGE 1: PROSPECT TO GUMERACHA 150.7km
In the first stage of the mens race, Sam Welsford (Red Bull- Bora) showed his sprinting credentials once again with a long spring to the line. After his criterium win at the nationals and on Sunday’s Classic, he is the one to beat on the flat finishes. Sam also takes the Blue Sprinters jersey in to tomorrow race as well as the leaders Ochre jersey. Earlier in the Zac Marriage and Fergus Browning (Aus cycling national team) sprinted away from the peloton for about for most of the day, untill 40kms to go, this move gave them both the most combative rider of the day and Browning claimed the mountain polka dot jersey for tomorrow

2025 National Road Championships results
This year the National Championship is being held in Perth for the first time and it’s the first time the event has been helped out side of Bunninyong in 21 years
Today the Induvidual time trial was held and Lucal Plapp (Jayco-Alula) has gone back to back beating Jay Vines (UAE Emirates) with Kelland O’Brien (Jayco-Alula) coming in 3rd
In the Elite women’s time trial Brodie Chapman (team UAE) won, beating Amber Pate (Liv-Jayco) and Anya Louw (Ag insurance- Soudal coming in 3rd
