💛❤️🖤 OUR 145th SEASON IS UNDERWAY 💛❤️🖤

A huge thanks to our members, friends and special guests who joined us this afternoon for the Adelaide Rowing Club's Opening of its 145th Season.

A special thank you to our Club Patron,Lord Mayor Jane Lomax Smith, Dr Jane Lomax-Smith AM, for officially opening the season and naming our newest coxless pair/double scull, Hindmarsh III. Following our tradition, our small boats proudly carry the names of Australian rivers, and we're delighted to welcome another boat into our fleet.

While we were unable to get out on the water today, nothing could dampen the atmosphere. The ARC clubhouse and balcony was packed with great company, colourful characters, & plenty of laughs - all part of the unmistakable ARC camaraderie that makes our club so special.

At ARC, we believe rowing is a life long sport, and we celebrate this with the beloved The Old Buffer's Rowpast as part of our Opening of the Season celebration each year.

This year, John Brook will be leading the Buffer's at a spritely 87 years, and will be joined byseveral other crew members in their eighties!

Come down to the Adelaide Rowing Club this Sunday from 2pm and join with us in giving The Old Buffer's a mighty dozen as they row down Torrens Lake!
