It's WORLD CUP GOLD in Seville

What an amazing race in Seville for the final of the Women's Eight, featuring ARCs Ella Bramwell!

A great race on a beautiful regatta course saw the Aussies execute brilliantly, with a dominant 3rd 500m to pull away from the field and cross 1.4s ahead to take the gold!

Way to go Ella - we're so proud of your efforts!

CONGRATULATIONS to Team SA winning the Interstate Women's Eight and Men's Quad races at AMRC (plus a hard fought Silver in the Men's Eight too)πŸ†πŸ†πŸ₯ˆ

We're super proud of ARC members Mieka (bow), Jess (cox) and co-coaches Bernie & Daren for their efforts as part of this year's SA Women's Eight - victorious for the 4th year in a row, by a margin of almost 8 seconds over the 1000m!

Plenty of exciting action featuring ARC around the AMRC regatta, and still with a day's racing to go!

Camaraderie

πŸ’›β€πŸ–€ ARC HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE πŸ’›β€πŸ–€

The R.W. Richardson Shield for Outstanding Service to the Club and the Sport over a Very Long Time is considered as our Club's 'Hall of Fame, and is only awarded to the most exceptional recipients, having been awarded only 5 time in the last 20 years.

At the recent 2026 ARC Annual Dinner, we were humbled to present the Richardson Shield to a truly deserving member of our ARC community.

They say there’s no greater honour in Rowing than introducing someone to the sport for the first time and getting them hooked.

We can all remember the first time we got in a boat - where it was, who was in the crew, and who our first coach was.

For many at ARC - that first coach was Donna Webb.

Donna’s rowing journey began as a Seymour College parent supporting her daughters, Mieka and Erica, during the early years of the Seymour programme when it was based in the ARC boatshed. Alongside key figures, she helped build the foundations of what it is today, celebrating its 20th season this year.

As Erica & Mieka moved into senior rowing at ARC, Donna became a constant in our Club. She learned to row herself, fell in love with the sport, and went on to lead the ARC Learn to Row programme for nearly a decade β€” guiding countless beginners through their first strokes on Sunday mornings at the Torrens.

In recent years, Donna has continued to give back as a junior coach at Seymour, shaping the next generation with her trademark care, patience, and generosity.

Donna has never sought recognition, but her impact is everywhere. To so many at ARC, Donna has been our β€œclub mum.”

Thank you Donna, for everything you have given to our community - it wouldn't be the same without you!
