⚽️⚽️Important announcement ⚽️⚽️

💛What Banter Is – And What It Isn't🖤

Soccer has always had banter. It's part of the atmosphere, part of the enjoyment of the game, and part of what makes community sport unique.

Banter is light-hearted fun between people. It's friendly, good-natured, and something that everyone involved can laugh about.

However, banter is not an excuse for abuse.

Banter is not:

🖤Personal attacks on players, officials, coaches or spectators.

💛Comments about someone's appearance, weight, age, gender, race or ability.

🖤Abuse directed at referees or match officials.

💛Belittling, intimidating or humiliating others.

🖤Behaviour that brings our club or the game into disrepute.

At Parafield Gardens Soccer & Sports Club, we welcome passionate support. We encourage our members and supporters to cheer loudly, support our teams and enjoy the game.

What we don't support is behaviour that makes others feel unwelcome, uncomfortable or disrespected.

Without referees, volunteers, opposition clubs and spectators, we don't have a game. Everyone involved deserves to be treated with respect.

One of our key goals as a club is to continue growing our soccer community and creating an environment where our junior players and their families want to spend their weekends.

We want our junior players to come and watch our senior teams, look up to our players, and enjoy being part of the club. We want parents to feel comfortable bringing their children to senior matches and club events.

To achieve that, everyone who attends our games has a role to play.

Passionate support is encouraged. Cheering for your team, celebrating goals and getting behind our players is all part of soccer. However, abuse, derogatory comments, personal attacks and inappropriate remarks directed at players, officials or spectators have no place at our club.

The standard we set on the sidelines is the standard our young players will learn and carry into the future. We want them to learn respect for teammates, opponents, officials and the game itself.

Our aim is simple: to create a positive, welcoming and family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy soccer and be proud to represent Parafield Gardens Soccer & Sports Club.

Be passionate. Be vocal. Support your club.

But remember the difference between banter and abuse.💛🖤⚽️

🖤💛 PGSC SENIOR RESULTS – ROUND 6 💛🖤

What a fantastic day for the club on Sunday as we celebrated our past players, presidents, committee members, coaches, supporters, and volunteers at Metricon Oval. A huge thank you to everyone who came down to support the black and gold and be part of the special group photo before the A Grade clash ⚽

A day made even more special with the unveiling of our new 2026 kits and being selected as the SAASL Game of the Round, recorded by Matchday Productions 🎥

🖤 Women’s Division 6
3-0 WIN (Forfeit)
Unfortunately Munno Para were unable to field enough players, resulting in a forfeit win for PGSC.

💛 Men’s C Grade
2-4 LOSS
After a solid first half locked at 0-0, the boys battled hard but were unfortunately overrun in the second half.

💛 Men’s B Grade
1-1 DRAW
A fantastic end-to-end contest that could have gone either way. The sides went into halftime at 0-0 before both teams found the back of the net in a hard-fought second half.

💛 Men’s A Grade
5-2 WIN
⚽️ SIX FROM SIX ⚽️

PGSC got off to the perfect start with H Mohamadi opening the scoring inside the first 3 minutes with a superb strike. Ten minutes later, J Horvath calmly slotted home into the bottom left corner to make it 2-0.

Athelstone responded shortly after to reduce the margin to 2-1, but D Roadley restored the two-goal advantage on the 30-minute mark with a powerful header to make it 3-1 at halftime.

N Blackmore produced a brilliant run and finish in the second half to extend the lead to 4-1 before Athelstone again fought back to make it 4-2 in the 73rd minute.

Just three minutes later, D Roadley rose again to score his second header of the day and seal the 5-2 victory. Roadley had the chance to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot, only to be denied by the Athelstone keeper, but his dominant performance earned him the Metricon Man of the Match award proudly sponsored by UNRVLD Elite Barber Co ⚽

A massive thank you again to everyone who came down and supported the club. The atmosphere around Metricon Oval was outstanding and showed exactly what PGSC is all about 🖤💛
