Chi insights thanks to …
“It’s Sunday morning on the long weekend as I write this and I’m thinking about how much I’m going to miss Monday’s training session. Boo!
I’ve been on board the Chi Train for about six weeks now and it has woken within me an energy I haven’t experienced in decades. Running around and laughing like my inner six-year-old has missed for so long.
From the very first day I felt welcome and included in this uniquely fabulous community Kris and Trace have created. The community spirit stood out immediately, and the sessions in the square quickly galvanised my commitment.
Chi sessions are fun, and they get me moving around more than I have in years. I don’t say this lightly: it’s a joy to rise at 5AM every weekday to train with this cool bunch. No two sessions are ever the same, yet I always come away knowing I’ve worked all my muscle groups and had a good dose of cardio.
The Chi Games™ have me beaming as I run around the Chi Arena™ scoring the occasional goal and trying not to get my bib ripped off. You just have to be there. It’s fun, and it has completely shifted my mindset when it comes to physical activity.
I’m moving every day now, which I’m so grateful for. I’ve met a whole crew of amazing souls who are kind, supportive and inclusive. The incremental changes I’ve been making are paying off through more movement and a greater sense of connection.
I’m really grateful to have found this happy, healthy and supportive community. If you’re curious, give it a go. I did, and six weeks later those small changes are adding up in ways I never expected.
This feels like “that lifestyle change” I’ve been aiming for, and it’s fun. Did I mention Chi has made exercise fun? I’m not sure I made that clear. Fun, fun, fun! See you at 6:15, peeps. Let’s do this!”

Chi experience shared that’s to Andy….
“ It’s Sunday morning on the long weekend as I write this and I’m thinking about how much I’m going to miss Monday’s training session. Boo!
I’ve been on board the Chi Train for about six weeks now and it has woken within me an energy I haven’t experienced in decades, since I was very young. Running around and laughing like my inner six year old has missed for so long. Exercise has always felt like a chore to me. Something I’ve only rarely been able to break through and commit to, most recently about twenty years ago in another life and another place where I felt a sense of community where I was working out. Chi train, all this time later, gives me that sense of community again, but in an even better way. From the very first day I felt welcome and included in this uniquely fabulous community Kris and Tracy have created. Coffee club afterwards, for those who can stick around, is a nice way to cap off the sessions of physical activity, forging new friendships. The community spirit is what stood out to me from that very first time, but the sessions in the square galvanised my commitment.
Chi sessions are fun, and they get me moving around more than I have in years. I don’t say this lightly: it’s a joy to rise at 5AM every weekday to train with this cool bunch under Kris’s guidance. His humour and the general banter keeps the mood light, with space for everyone to work at their own pace. When I injured myself (in everyday life, not in session) Kris supported me by modifying activies to cater to my ability at the time, and mixing things up is what makes Chi Train so good. No two sessions are ever the same, yet I always come away knowing I’ve worked all my muscle groups and had a good dose of cardio. It’s not unusual for me to get four to five thousand steps in before my work day begins, which motivates me to keep moving throughout the day. It might shock some to read that I’ve never been into football. How un-Australian of me. But the Chi Games (TM) which are very loosely based on some football code, somewhere, have me beaming as I run around the Chi Arena (TM) scoring the occasional goal, ripping away the opposition’s bibs, trying to avoid the same fate. You just have to be there. It’s fun, and has completely shifted my mindset when it comes to physical activity, which is another component of what Kris and Trace offer with Chi Train.
I really appreciate being able to connect with things incremementally, at my own pace. If you’re like me and sometimes go “all in” with something and end up giving up because it gets too overwhelming, Kris and Trace respect your individuality, supporting you to push your own boundaries and be the best version of yourself that you want to be. I’m moving every day now, which I’m so grateful for. I’ve met a whole crew of amazing souls who are kind, supportive, and inclusive, which supports a healthy change in mindset. Now I’m ready to dip into the waters of the third branch of the Chi Train and learn about effective refuelling. I joined Trace’s live audience on her recent Facebook Live session about intermittent fasting and it struck me that intermittent fasting is one of the things that previously helped me regain my health, at that time under the advice of my GP. I’m confident that at every step of the way, Kris and Trace are guiding us with evidence-based knowledge. They walk their talk, which always important.
I’m really grateful to have found this happy, healthy and supportive community. If you’re curious, give it a go. I did, and six weeks later those incremental changes I’ve been making are paying off through more movement and a greater sense of connection. I guess they were my goals coming into Chi Train. Tick. Time to review my goals now and change gears. I know Kris, Trace and the whole Chi crew will be right there beside me, making the process easy and fun. This feels like “that lifestyle chnage” I’ve been aiming for, and it’s fun. Did I mention Chi has made exercise fun? I’m not sure I made that clear. Fun, fun, fun! See you at 6:15, peeps. Let’s do this!”

• Bri-anne chi Sunday Spotlight •
Shining a light on Bri …. who has become a pivotal contributor & connector of the chi•fam ….
Here’s a little insight into Bri’s experience …
“ Just before Covid shut the world down in 2020, I quit my job of 16 years and sat in my PJ’s for what seemed like months. I was burnt out physically and mentally. I gained new employment and was much happier. Then Chi Train found me in 2021. I have never been an excercise person but I felt like I needed it.
I work on my own so most days the only conversations I have are with my fellow .train Crew. Some of have coffee afterwards and solve all the world problems. Everyone there is very accepting and genuinely care for everyone at Chi. We exercise and most importantly have fun.
If I miss a day of Chi Train because of other commitments I have FOMO! Chi Train is move than exercise it is a caring community of people that I am proud to say are my friends. Even on cold mornings or if I am tired I still come out to Chi Train because I don’t want to miss out on anything! I always feel better afterwards and I am happier for being there.
and his wife .massie are 100% committed to us and genuinely care for all of the Chi Crew. They put together a program that is more than just exercise and support all of us in our varied needs. Move - Refuel - Love. is the 2nd trainer and he is fantastic. Sam quietly gets us to work out harder and have fun at the same time.
I would say to anyone brave the outdoors and come out to Light Square and hop on Chi Train for a fun ride that you will want to stay on.”
We love your work Bri ….. & know how much everyone at Chi appreciates everything about what you do for all & how consistently you are with your chi movement sessions & your connection to community ❤️
• releasing through movement •
Chi•power boxing 🥊 is witnessing some real power from the .train crew - channeling energy outwardly in a healthy way …..
Movement is medicine and it’s one of the best kind - releasing and letting go !
• chi•Thurdle LEGACY •
One of the great chi•thurdles to date.
Week by week, we continue to see Chi Train evolve - better movement, stronger refuel support, a deeper mindset approach, continuous improvement across the community, and of course… the Chi Thurdle.
Rosanna delivered an absolute cracker this morning. It was shared with class and distinction - it was Legacy, honouring & .virgin … the original creators of this wonderful concept and legacy piece that is now part of Chi culture.
We share this with genuine pride, as absolutely hit it out of the park.
Already looking forward to Matt, one of our newer .train members, sharing his next week.
Thursday’s word being the Chi Thurdle - another one of the many legacy pieces that make Chi what it is.
Great work, Rosanna. World-class. Heartfelt, professional, authentic and perfectly said 🤍

Honoring Saroj Aditya Vikram for inspiring…… for so many reasons …. Here’s a little insight ….
“Chi train” as we all referred this beautiful community is one of the best things that happened to me and my family (even though they didn’t technically join it!) and at a time when I was at my lowest.. Mentally and probably physically!
The best-esttt place to go to if you desire good health not only for your body but truly for your soul..
The sessions on and off the ‘square’ truly enriched me with soooo much positivity.. Kris and Tracey are the most beautiful souls you will ever meet who genuinely put in sooo much efforts into your health and personal happiness that sometimes it’s unbelievable!! Haha
Kris’ energy and positivity (and the banter power😂) is highly CONTAGIOUS.. The coaching sessions with Kris and the energetic movements sessions with him along with Tracey’ refuel sessions make it a perfect place to be.. Tracey has the best and most practical knowledge on for body.. I have so enjoyed meeting her every single time.. Her warmth and genuine belief in good fuel for your body will make you WANT to care what you feed your body!! Haha
The constant support and friendships from the chi community is the best addition to my life in Australia.. The community made me so comfy and organically welcomed me on board.. Never did I feel I was not from Australia and in fact was new to this country!! Thanks guys xx
Chi or chi 🚂 is a place for and ..
Until I see you again.. Much love ❤️❤️ “
Standing ovation Saroj ….. keep it glowing and going !!!

• congratulations Leone •
Standing ovation as we welcome ourselves into a fresh week end …..
As leonemackenzie recently shared ……
“ Perfect walking weather prevailed as the Mornington Peninsula 50km was completed. We appreciate the support of our sponsors. Our team’s fundraising efforts yielded $2600.00, helping the event reach $1 million by late ( several days ago). “
Well played Leone !!!!!
• standing for what is right •
One of the weekly Chi rituals that we all celebrate as a community is the Chi Thirdle - the word of the week presented each Thursday by one of our incredible Chi members.
This morning’s share was more than heartfelt.
As most across the know, many locals are carrying a deep sadness 😢 💔 right now surrounding the loss of some of our timeless parklands. A place that has meant so much to so many generations - past, present and future….
Today, one of our .train members courageously shared the word of the week: Politics and spoke openly about the devastating impact of decisions that have prioritised outcomes other than the preservation of our green pastures, community spaces, and natural connection points 🌳
What we are truly proud of at Chi is that everyone has a voice - a space to express, reflect, connect, and be heard.
We know this particular Chi Train member is certainly not alone in the devastation surrounding Possum Park and we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts and comments below.
Please feel free to share this deeply heartfelt Chi Thurdle 💚

• Chi Sunday Spotlight - Gaz •
While Gaz celebrates today …. “ 40 years today since Julie and I wedded - celebrating the day in Maldives 🇲🇻 “
We stop , pause & reflect on this gentleman who continues to celebrate all the goodness that life has to offer, knowing full well that we’re all each responsible for the journey and the outcome….
Gaz kindly shared with us …. his insights into his Chi Train - Move • Refuel • Love lifestyle program ….
“ The reasons I still love being part of Chi now more than 10 years since I jumped onboard in early 2016 include the variety in the sessions available, the “never the same session twice” program planning, the unwavering support provided by Kris Massie and those who assist with delivery of the Chi Train Community experience ……. and being part of what truly is a welcoming and safe community dedicated to being there for each other.
Having very recently retired from a professional career spanning the best part of 44 years I reflect on how being part of Chi has helped me with and through the last 10 years of that journey.
Chi has helped me to improve and maintain not only physically but also hugely helped me psychologically. Both in respect of professional life and personal life. In relation to both, endurance and resilience are important and I can attest to the benefits Chi and its community have contributed where all stand equal and no one is above or below any other.
Being outdoors is for me a massive plus - whatever (with limited exceptions) the weather conditions are on any given day. The freedom of the open air. No fixed boundaries. No mirrors. No restrictions. As always, at Chi it is all about what we can do, not what we can’t !”
Thank you Gaz …. We hope you and Julie are enjoying yourselves as we all stand and celebrate your chi legacy that continues to grow ❤️
