There's really something rewarding about watching your older students teaching the basics to beginners. Thanks to the various councils involved in the Growing for Gold program for the opportunity.

This video while not specifically about martial arts really resonates with a part of me.

It really hit me with the following thoughts
“This started as a hobby… but now it feels like too much effort.
Why am I even doing this?
What could I be doing instead?”

But maybe that discomfort says more than we think.

It shows how we fear the unknown - the unsafe, the uncertain.

But growth doesn’t happen in safety.
Not in life, not in work, not in relationships… and not in our hobbies.

Sometimes, the only way forward is to embrace the unknown.
To lean into it.
Because that’s where progress lives.

It's great to be a part of a growing community like this, and seeing the growth of not only students, but the instructors on grading days.
