Congratulations to Lillee and Liam for placing 2nd in the 2026 AKJA National Kata Tournament today. Great effort. Results between 1st and 2nd were very close.

VALE - Shihan Terry Lester.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Shihan Terry Lester, 6th Dan and long time member of Goshin Judo Kan in Adelaide.

Terry was instrumental in starting the Goolwa Judo Club which he ran for a number of years with friend, Peter Watt (deceased).

Although Terry had not been so well the last few years, he was always in our thoughts. After Goolwa Judo club closed, Terry instructed at Goshin, gaining his 6th dan for many years of dedication and service to the art.

He was proud of his judo history, especially the early years in the UK.

Terry was part of the Kodokan Judo Association (SA) Grading Commission until he was no longer able to travel.

We appreciate Terry for all that he has given to us and passed down to the younger generations.

He will be sadly missed. May you rest in peace Shihan.
