Join us to build inclusive Amputee Soccer in South Australia
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 – 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals who would like to be involved in the development of amputee soccer in South Australia.
Amputee soccer is a modified and inclusive version of the world’s most popular sport, designed for people with limb difference or limb loss. It promotes physical activity, confidence, connection, and community, and is played globally at both social and elite levels.
Our focus is on building a welcoming, sustainable, community-based program that allows participants to engage in soccer in a supportive and accessible environment.
We are currently forming a steering committee to help guide the establishment of social amputee soccer in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, with a long-term vision to expand across Adelaide and eventually contribute to a national competition model.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who:
▪️Have experience serving on a board or committee
▪️Have a passion for soccer or sport (playing, coaching, officiating, or supporting)
▪️Possess administrative, governance, finance, marketing, community engagement, or project management skills
▪️Have lived experience of disability or inclusive sport (not essential but welcomed)
This steering committee will help shape how the program is delivered, supported, funded, and sustained into the future.
