to one of our recent community activations with the City of Salisbury! 💫🏓

Community events don’t just “happen” — they take planning, collaboration, problem solving, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work from passionate volunteers.

Recently, our club had the pleasure of working closely with the City of Salisbury to help deliver a community fun day with a sports theme, introducing even more local families to the sport of pickleball.

What many people don’t see is everything that happens before the first ball is hit.

To make this activation possible, our club worked directly with council staff to:
✅ Conduct an on-site feasibility assessment of the venue
✅ Ensure safe spacing and court layout for players and spectators
✅ Test the surface suitability to achieve a near-true pickleball bounce
✅ Contribute to event safety and risk mitigation planning
✅ Coordinate scheduling and activation logistics
✅ Work with the venue on appropriate court lining materials that wouldn’t damage the surface
✅ Liaise with committee members and external representatives to coordinate the day successfully

We’re incredibly proud of the work our volunteers continue to put into creating positive community experiences through sport. Pickleball is more than just a game to us — it’s about connection, inclusion, families, laughter, and building healthier communities.

A special thank you as well to the Northeastern Hurricanes representatives who attended on the day to help engage with participants during the activation. 🏓

Sometimes the biggest part of community sport happens long before the event begins — and we’re proud to keep showing up for our community both on and off the court. ♥️

🏓✨ What a week at the 2026 SA Pickleball Championships! ✨🏓

A huge congratulations to every player who stepped on court and every volunteer who helped bring this incredible event together. Tournaments like this simply don’t happen without the countless hours behind the scenes, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who gave their time and energy to make the championships such a success. ❤️

We’ve heard so much glowing feedback about the improved SMS notifications and score recording system too — helping keep the tournament running smoothly, reducing pressure on volunteers, and making the experience easier for players navigating the event. A fantastic step forward and a great example of innovation supporting our pickleball community. 👏

And as for Northern Stars… well… our club absolutely dominated the podium this week 🌟🔥💪🏻 We’re so proud of every one of our players — not just for the results, but for the sportsmanship, support, and community spirit you showed all tournament long.

Some of you were stepping into championship competition for the very first time. Some came back chasing redemption. And others apparently decided one gold medal simply wasn’t enough… 😅

🏆 Massive congratulations to Huy on achieving the Triple Crown with THREE gold medals!!! An incredible achievement and one to remember. 🥇🥇🥇

And of course, special recognition goes to Christopher for securing the much talked about "Triple Brown" 😋🤎 🥉🥉🥉

We loved seeing the smiles, celebrations, sideline support and all those candid moments throughout the week.

If you snapped photos and have a public profile, please tag Northern Stars Pickleball Club, email us, or share using so we can continue celebrating our amazing community 📸⭐

Congratulations everyone — we’re proud of you all. Bring on the next one! 💫

♥️ National Volunteer Week ♥️

This week, we want to give a massive shout out to the incredible volunteers who help make Northern Stars Pickleball Club what it is. 🌟

Over the last year, so many people have generously given their time to help our club grow and thrive. From setting up courts and organising sessions, to welcoming new players, running events behind the scenes, managing leagues, answering messages, taking photos, helping at community activations, serving on committees, and everything in between — our club simply wouldn’t exist without you.

And as we head into the 2026 SA Championships this weekend, we also want to recognise everyone stepping up to volunteer and help deliver what promises to be a fantastic event. Large tournaments don’t happen by chance, and every person giving up their time to support players and keep things running smoothly deserves recognition. 🏓✨

Your time, energy, and passion help create the friendly and inclusive community we’re so proud to be part of.

To every volunteer, committee member, helper, and supporter: thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you more than words can say.

You are the heart of our club (and we hope we haven't missed any names!). ♥️🌟

🏆 GRAND SLAM MELBOURNE – WINNERS 🏆

This weekend wasn’t just about medals and podium finishes — it was about stepping outside comfort zones and embracing a challenge.

Travelling interstate, competing against almost 300 players, facing unfamiliar opponents, adapting to different playing styles, and performing in a completely new environment takes courage. There are no familiar routines, no familiar faces across the net — just opportunities to learn, grow and test yourself. ⭐

We’re incredibly proud of our players who represented Northern Stars at the Melbourne Grand Slam this weekend. Whether you came home with medals, hard-fought wins, or valuable experience, every match was part of the journey.

Please help us celebrate our winners and everyone who stepped onto the court and gave it their all. Taking on a challenge like this is an achievement in itself. ❤️🤍🩶

Special congratulations to David, Jun, and Andy for their medals!

In just 12 short months, our club has grown more than we ever imagined. From social hits and beginner sessions to leagues, competitions, coaching, laughs, friendships, and plenty of epic rallies along the way — it’s been an incredible journey. 🏓⭐

None of this would have been possible without our amazing players, members, volunteers, sponsors, and committee members who continue to bring such positive energy to the club week after week.

You are all absolute stars in our books. ♥️🤍🩶

Thank you for helping build such a welcoming, supportive, and fun community both on and off the court. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and even more excited for what’s ahead.
