🏎️ Race 2 – 11th
🏎️ Race 3 – 11th

The biggest positive? The Mini ran beautifully all weekend. Plenty of power, no major issues, and after the engine rebuild it’s great to finally have confidence in the car again.

Now it’s time for the driver to do a bit more tuning! 😂 There’s definitely more speed to come.

To top it all off, we came away with 3rd in Class and another trophy! 🏆

That’s now 2 race meetings and 2 trophies. Not a bad way to kick off the season, and we’re only getting started.

Talk about luck not being on our side at Bonza Motorsport…

We rolled into the Peter Hall 6 Hour at Mallala yesterday thinking it’d be a cruisy run — just a good day of racing. And to be fair… it was, until it very quickly wasn’t.

Pulled a gear, heard a big bang… and next thing the cab’s filling with smoke. Trying to get it off the track and out safely, only to realise we’d left a solid trail of oil behind us. Not ideal.

After a quick look over it — yep, we’ve properly blown the engine. Game over for the day.

Bit of a heartbreaker, but that’s motorsport. One minute you’re having a laugh, next minute you’re loading it onto the trailer wondering what just happened.

The positive — the team’s already regrouping. Heads are back in the game, and we’ve got 7 weeks to build a new engine and come back ready for Round 2.

What started as a “casual easy event” turned into a bit of chaos… but we’ll take it on the chin and get to work.

Let’s see what the next 7 weeks throw at us 💪

What a weekend at The Bend — how good is this place! 🔥

Final day of racing today with Race 2 & 3, and it definitely delivered.

Race 2
Bit of a wild one 😅
Picked up my first bad sportsmanship flag for exceeding track limits… may have taken the car on a few adventures off track!

But on the upside — managed to set my fastest lap of the weekend, so we’ll take that 💪

Had an awesome battle with Richard again — honestly one of the highlights of the weekend. Great racing and a massive learning experience.

Race 3
This is where it all started to click 🙌
Finally found my groove, tucked in behind Chris and focused on learning his lines and consistency.

Lap after lap I was matching my best times — and it all came together with a P6 finish 👊

Overall
Couldn’t be happier with the weekend.
Came away with 3rd in class, missing 2nd by just 2 points — so close!

More importantly, it was an unreal weekend spent with family, mates, and the crew.

Massive step forward for me as a driver and for the team — we’re only just getting started 🔥
