We offer all the knowledge, training to become a PADI a Dive Master Professional & Open Water Lifeguard
Internship minimum duration 3 months from Rescue Diver+
depending on your studies , dives you need and certification you like to achieve.
If you start from 0 it will take you at least 4-5 months to get your 60 dives up ⬆️. For getting your dive masters.

Internship programs offered Reef Life Savings Inc. & Airlie Beach Dive Centre involve high-level training at a relaxed environment.
We are seeking for hard working, reliable people, committed who want to be passionate diver involved to do better, to add on quality of life to our tourists.
We just got a new dive boat , some of the work is setting up our new boat.
You need to able to answer emails and telephone conversations, talk to guest and have great customer service behaviour.
Your work task will be involved with
* Able to carry tanks, refill
* Clean Dive Gear and cars
* Learning Driving trailers
* Learn Briefing and Teaching students
* You need to like to work with children.
* 2 Shop days per week retail and sell courses and products, be involved in marketing and sales
* Become a dive guide, dive side charts, supervisory underwater and safe practice
* Become a Dive Lookout
* Paperwork involved in Diving
* Check First Aid equipment
* Gain Sea time on the boat
* Learn how to teach refreshers and DSD and become a snorkel lookout and guide
Your Requirements:
* Min age requirement for Dive Master certification is 18.
Before you start
* Must be a good swimmer, requiring at least able to swim 500 meters.
* Must possess a “Working with Children Blue Card” (we can process it for free through our non-profit organization).
* Valid Australian Standards 2299 Commercial Dive Medical is necessary.
* Must pay for your own PADI fees, learning materials
* Must have your own full set of dive gear , wetsuit, snorkel, mask, fins , knife and horn. Staff store rebates are possible
* Be prepared for Training exchange/ it’s Non paid Working,
* You need to be committed to public holidays and weekends , sometimes we have long days , depending on bookings , weather etc. Our charters require preparation and cleaning afterwards..
* You must have a manual car driver license
* Must be already a rescue Diver /or need to do a rescue Diver course with us / you can’t start your Dive Master Journey without being a Rescue Diver
* If you are not a diver yet you are able to start with your journey but your courses up to rescue diver need to be paid. In this time period you are able to collect more diving experience and dives. You need to be able to have 40 dives to start your journey as a dive master

* Accomodation is available in share Ensuite with two beds, fridge, free , shared kitchen, shared washing machine,power and Wifi for Accommodation price $80 per week per person

- [x] Our Nonprofit’s Organisation teaches ocean safety and buddy safe snorkelling and the ecosystem on the reef in the school holidays to children from the age of 8

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY
Working hours per Week:
2 days in the shop 6hrs
3 days out in the water or pool ( booking and weather depending)

Key responsibilities
Assist with the diving operation, help with office work and customer service, practice working on Scuba Diving and office,marketing, gardening, cleaning , refill tanks, cleaning up dive gear.

We are excited to announce two new Dive Master Internship positions available starting August 1st.
Reef Life Saving Inc. and Airlie Beach Dive Centre offer high-level training in a relaxed environment to help you become a PADI Dive Master Professional
Program Overview
- Duration: Minimum of 3 months (from Rescue Diver level). If starting from beginner level, expect 4–5 months to achieve the required 60 dives.
- Benefits: Includes advanced first aid (HLTAID015), oxygen provider training, and affordable accommodation ($80/week).
- Inclusions: Sea time on our new dive boat, specialty training ($50/specialty), and potential employment opportunities upon successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will assist with full diving operations, including:
- Refilling tanks, cleaning gear, and boat preparation.
- Assisting with student briefings and guided snorkels.
- Two days per week in retail, marketing, and sales.
- Customer service, including answering emails and phone calls.
- Supporting our non-profit’s educational programs for children.
