What a magical day dancing among the lavender! Thank you to everyone who came along, cheered us on. The festival atmosphere was absolutely beautifully filled with fragrant fields, sunshine, and so many smiling faces.

Yesterday was the Bluefire Bellydancers and Mystique Dance end of year showcase. It was our fifth year of collaborating together and I think the best one yet. I dont do speeches or thank yous at our show, a small message in the program is what I like, here it is but the extended version 😉
A special message to all the performers who where there yesterday, whether you danced one number or many, in solos or groups: you are all amazing! I couldn’t be prouder of your strength, bravery, and talent, simply wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout the year. Your commitment has truly made this evening extraordinary. To my students who put up with me each week, thank you for sticking with me, laughing at my jokes (sorry for the ones who hear the same thing 5 times a week 🫠) and trusting me with your dance. I loves you long time.
A special tha you to everyone who worked on our fablous costumes, everyone was involved and worked so hard to bring the show to life. A big thank you to Janelle Hodgson, Karen Pinkie Wilson our lead costume seamstresses, for going above and beyond to ensure everyone looks stunning.
I’d also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to LaToya Donnellan, our social media and advertising guru. Your efforts in keeping our fans and families updated on our dancing adventures are invaluable. Thank you to our stage hands, Briellyn, Breanna & Ruby, we could not have done this without your patience and support pushing us onto the stage.
To my makeup artist Lianna for making me look beautiful and letting the vampires bite you.
Thank you to the beautiful dancers from Mystique Bellydance who let me join them every Wednesday and their amazing teacher, Janelle. Janelle my dear friend, my partner in dance, my second brain, it’s been a joy to collaborate and dance alongside you and your talented students. Your enthusiasm lights up the stage, and I feel lucky to share this experience with you all.
Finally, thank you to everyone who made it to the showcase last night. Your support and encouragement mean the world to my and our performers. These wonderful women might be your mothers, sisters, grandmothers, granddaughters, wives, work besties or friends and I know each of them were honoured to dance for themselves and you.
Thank you again everyone, I’m off to do a mountain of costume washing and start planning next year 💜🥰💜

What an incredible Day!
From the sparkle of the matinee to the magic of the evening show, today’s Enchanted Rhythms performances were pure joy.
Backstage was buzzing with the energy of last-minute costume fixes, shared safety pins, deep breaths, and lots of giggles. These are the moments we treasure just as much as the stage itself.

A huge thank you to our beautiful audience for your cheers, smiles, and generosity.

And the biggest gratitude goes to our amazing teachers and and stage hands, whose guidance, creativity, and endless patience made today possible. We are so grateful for everything you pour into us. 💙💜
