A Grand Final that had it all!

Our Men’s A Grade left absolutely everything out on the turf in an epic battle against Manypeaks.

Locked at 3–3 at full time, the game headed into overtime, with neither side able to break the deadlock. It all came down to one-on-ones, where Manypeaks eventually got the upper hand to claim the premiership.

Not the ending they were hoping for, but an incredible fight right until the very end. A huge season, a Grand Final appearance and plenty for this group to be proud of.

A tough finish, but one that will only add fuel to the fire for 2027. We’ll be back! 💙🤍

💙 SPARKIES B GRADE PREMIERS! 💙

What a way to break a 16-year drought! After falling short to our own Spencer Park Dark in the last two Grand Finals, the Sparkies made it third time lucky with a 2–1 win over Griffins! 🔥

Association leading goal scorer Jemma opened the account, before Kirby Jan converted a short corner for number two — followed by a celebration almost as good as the goal 😂🙌

Then came the longest 50 seconds of the year… Griffins with a short corner and one last chance. The Sparkies defence stood strong and saw it home.

Final siren. Cue absolute scenes. 🏆✨

A huge moment for the Sparkies and another proud one for Spencer Park Hockey Club.

And after waiting 16 years, there was only one way to celebrate… hard! Safe to say Cindy was kept VERY busy behind the bar. 🍻😂

UP THE SPARKIES! 💙🤍

After a huge season, four Spencer Park teams have earned their place in this Saturday’s Grand Finals! 🏑

Come down, find a spot in the grandstand and cheer our teams on — then stay around and enjoy the rest of the action. Support local hockey, grab a meal and a drink and make a day of it!

A massive achievement to make it this far — now it’s time to enjoy the occasion and give it one last crack!

Good luck to all our teams this weekend! 💙🤍

💙 Women’s A Grade 🤍

Our A Grade women’s season came to an end yesterday, going down 2–0 to Manypeaks in their Preliminary Final.

It’s been a close competition all season, and this group has fought hard every step of the way. Plenty of grit, determination and Spencer Park spirit right through to the final whistle.

Not the ending they were hoping for, but plenty to be proud of. A strong season, a great group and plenty to build on — we have a feeling this team will be back even stronger in 2027. 💪💙🤍

Well done, ladies — bring on next season! 🔥
