There are simply not enough words to properly thank the incredible volunteers who keep badminton in the Great Southern going strong. Our baddy community wouldn’t be the same without the people who give up their time, energy, and effort behind the scenes every single week.

From the countless sausage sizzles, the local calendar drop, and the GSBA quiz night, to organising and running tournaments such as the Albany Bicentenary Tournament held last February, the GSBA member competition last Saturday, and the upcoming Albany tournament in August — your hard work has not gone unnoticed.

To our committee members who dedicate countless hours to keeping the sport running smoothly for our community, and to the members who live and breathe badminton, we thank you.

We are so grateful for every single one of our volunteers. You are what makes GSBA so special.

🏸 Just a little “friendly” competition 🏸
We held a fun in-house competition for our wonderful GSBA members, with 21 participants ranging from new members, long-time members, and members experiencing competition play for the very first time.
Today was made possible by our amazing committee members — Crispin, Boney, Rhett, and Des — who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their hard work and dedication helped create a welcoming, enjoyable day for everyone involved.
A huge thank you to all who participated and supported the event. We loved seeing the sportsmanship, laughter, and friendly rivalry on display throughout the day! 🏸

🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations to our amazing Secretary Rhett Eiffler on his nomination for the Mike Stidwell award- excellence in sports administration. This bloke puts his heart and soul into all things badminton and we are so lucky to have him. GSBA is so proud of him regardless of the outcome.
Well done and thankyou Rhett. The epitome of a volunteer.
The winner is announced at an awards night on May 18.
